Object-oriented unit tests consist of sequences of method invocations. Behavior of an invocation depends on the method’s arguments and the state of the receiver at the beginning of the invocation. Correspondingly, generating unit tests involves two tasks: generating method sequences that build relevant receiverobject states and generating relevant method arguments. This paper proposes Symstra, ...

Drawing on interviews with key stakeholders – regulators, editors, party spin-doctors and politicians – supported by a systematic content analysis of television news during the 2015 UK General Election, this study makes an intervention into debates about how impartiality is understood and interpreted. Contrary to recent scholarly interpretations about ‘due impartiality’ being applied with some ...

This paper presents a context sensitive spell checking system that uses mixed trigram models, and introduces a new empirically grounded method for building confusion sets. The proposed method has been implemented, tested, and evaluated in terms of coverage, precision, and recall. The results show that the method is effective.

Batched evaluations in IR experiments are commonly built using relevance judgments formed over a sampled pool of documents. However, judgment coverage tends to be incomplete relative to the metrics being used to compute effectiveness, since collection size often makes it financially impractical to judge every document. As a result, a considerable body of work has arisen exploring the question o...

In coverage-based testing, coverage conditions are generated from the program text. For example, a branch generates two conditions: that it be taken in the false direction and in the true direction. The proportion of coverage conditions a test suite exercises can be used as an estimate of its quality. Some coverage conditions are impossible to exerise, and some are more cost-effectively elimina...

Topic modeling is a popular framework to analyze large text collections. In the previous work, employing topic modeling into statistic machine translation mainly depends on one major topic of the test document. Different from the previous work, the proposed approaches will coverage not only major topic but also sub-topics. The basic idea of this paper is assumed that better translation quality,...

Recent advances in software testing introduced parameterized unit tests (PUT), which accept parameters, unlike conventional unit tests (CUT), which do not accept parameters. PUTs are more beneficial than CUTs with regards to fault-detection capability, since PUTs help describe the behaviors of methods under test for all test arguments. In general, existing applications often include manually wr...

Reviews of technical articles or documents must be thorough in discussing their content. At times a review may be based on just one section in a document, say the Introduction. Review coverage is the extent to which a review covers the “important topics” in a document. In this paper we present an approach to evaluate the coverage of a submission by a review. We use a novel agglomerative cluster...

Most approaches to testing use branch coverage to decide on the quality of a given test suite. The intuition is that covering branches relates directly to uncovering faults. In this article we present an empirical study that applied random testing to 14 Eiffel classes for a total of 2520 hours and recorded the number of uncovered faults and the branch coverage over time. Our results show that: ...

The Son had an automobile insurance policy with Hanover Insurance Company ("Hanover") at the time of the accident. As mandated by Massachusetts law, the policy provided both uninsured and underinsured coverage for policy owners and relatives living in their households. Mass. Gen. L. ch. 175, sect. 1 13L (1988). After Han-over denied a settlement to Mrs. Vaiarella under the underinsured provisio...
