魚類養殖は残餌や糞粒などの多量の有機物を負荷する。我々は養殖の盛んな内湾で柱状堆積物試料を採取し，全有機態炭素（TOC），全窒素（TN）および全リン（TP）の鉛直分布を明らかにした。魚類養殖場のTOCとTNの分布は非養殖場と同様の鉛直分布を示したが，TP含量は非養殖場よりも高かった。餌のTP含量は小魚の小骨に由来するもので高く，魚類に消化されにくく，且つ堆積物中で分解されにくいと考えられる。TP含量を指標にして，魚類養殖による有機物負荷が明らかにできる可能性が考えられた。
