A graph is a cactus if any two of its cycles have at most one common vertex. In this paper, we determine the first sixteen largest Laplacian spectral radii together with the corresponding graphs among all connected cacti with n vertices and k cycles, where n > 2k + 8.

In this paper we determine, or give lower and upper bounds on, the 2-dipath and oriented L(2, 1)-span of the family of planar graphs, planar graphs with girth 5, 11, 16, partial k-trees, outerplanar graphs and cacti.

Grazing systems may alter botanical composition and productivity of grasslands through differential use in time, space, or intensity. Seven simulated grazing treatments were applied six years in eastern Montana, USA to determine effects on plant community composition and standing crop. Treatments were moderate stocking (28.8 AUD ha 1 year ) of cattle using 3-pasture summer rotation, season-long...

We studied variation in flowering phenology, fruit and seed set, and the abundance of the pollinators of four species of night-blooming Sonoran Desert columnar cacti for up to eight years at one site in Mexico and one year at one site in Arizona. We determined how spatiotemporal variation in plant–pollinator interactions affects the evolution of generalized pollination systems. We conducted pol...

Graph invariants, based on the distances between the vertices of a graph, are widely used in theoretical chemistry. The degree resistance distance of a graph G is defined as D R (G) =  {u,v}⊆V (G) [d(u) + d(v)]R(u, v), where d(u) is the degree of the vertex u, and R(u, v) the resistance distance between the vertices u and v. Let Cact(n; t) be the set of all cacti possessing n vertices and t cy...

Context Cacti are endemic to North and South America, but numerous species have been spread all over the world after Europeans visited Americas. Their global has impacted various aspects of terrestrial ecosystems, including distributions succulenticolous myxomycetes. Aims In this study, we examine association myxomycetes (also known as plasmodial slime moulds or myxogastrids) with three introdu...
