Aspect Oriented Software Development has been proposed as a means to improve modularization of software in the presence of crosscutting concerns. Compared to object-oriented or procedural approaches, Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) has not yet been applied in many industrial applications. In this thesis we investigate the application of AOP within an industrial context and propose a novel sol...

A childhood history of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is common in psychotic disorders, yet prescription stimulants may interact adversely with the physiology of these disorders. Specifically, exposure to stimulants leads to long-term increases in dopamine release. We therefore hypothesized that individuals with psychotic disorders previously exposed to prescription stimulants ...

We have extended the C# compiler available under Microsoft’s Shared Source Common Language Infrastructure (SSCLI) to facilitate Aspect Oriented Programming. The resulting compiler targets Microsoft .NET architecture. Our implementation introduces new ideas into the aspect language and the aspect-weaving mechanism. Our AOP extensions emulate AspectJ programming model and augment it with construc...

Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) has recently been proposed as a new paradigm for software development. It supplies mechanisms and constructs for expressing concerns separated from each other. There are already general-purpose aspect languages which offer these mechanisms on implementation level. Aspect-oriented mechanisms can be used for changing the behavior of objects. The same results can ...

Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) allows a programmer to “express the different aspects of a software system in a separate and natural form, and then automatically combine those separate descriptions into a final executable” [Kic96]. The aspects of a software system can include: data structure, algorithms, distribution, concurrency, security, fault-tolerance and synchronisation. Separating thes...

Bilateral paramedian thalamic stroke is a special ischemic pattern that results from occlusion of the artery of Percheron (AOP), a rare anatomic variant of the paramedian arteries. We report a case of bilateral thalamic infarctions, with a dramatic improvement after thrombolysis. DSA demonstrated recanalization of AOP with possible unreported variation.

Apnea of prematurity (AOP) is found in >50% of premature infants and is almost universal in infants who are <1000 g at birth. The literature clearly defines clinically significant apnea in infants (breathing pauses that last for >20 seconds or for >10 seconds if associated with bradycardia or oxygen desaturation), but there is no consensus about the duration of apnea, the degree of change in ox...

Background Apnea of prematurity (AOP) is a developmental disorder that affects the premature newborns frequently. One of the new non-drug methods for controlling apnea attacks is olfactory stimulation. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of olfactory stimulation by vanilla on the rate of apnea attacks in neonates with AOP. Materials and Methods: This study is a single-blind random...

AspectS is an approach to general-purpose aspect-oriented programming in the Squeak/Smalltalk environment. Based on the language model of AspectJ, it extends the Smalltalk MOP to accommodate the aspect modularity mechanism. In contrast to AspectJ, weaving in AspectS happens dynamically at runtime.

This brief proposes a unified sparsity-aware robust normalized subband adaptive filtering (SA-RNSAF) algorithm for identification of sparse systems under impulsive noises. The proposed SA-RNSAF generalizes different algorithms by defining the criterion and penalty. Furthermore, alternating optimization parameters (AOP) algorithm, including step-size sparsity penalty weight, we develop AOP-SA-RN...
