The effects of pyrimido-pyrimidine derivatives (dipyridamole, RA-642 and mopydamole) on lipid peroxidation (inhibition of the production of malondialdehyde, MDA) in different regions of the rat brain were studied. Ferrous sulfate and ascorbic acid (FeAs) were used to induce lipid peroxidation via the formation of hydroxyl anions. The antiperoxidative effect of RA-642 (in the microM range) was 1...

In this paper, we review our data mining algorithms for discovering frequent substructures in a large collection of semi-structured data, where both of the patterns and the data are modeled by labeled trees. These algorithms, namely FREQT for mining frequent ordered trees and UNOT for mining frequent unordered trees, efficiently enumerate all frequent tree patterns without duplicates using reve...

We present flexible photodetectors (PDs) for visible wavelengths fabricated by stacking centimeter-scale chemical vapor deposited (CVD) single layer graphene (SLG) and single layer CVD MoS2, both wet transferred onto a flexible polyethylene terephthalate substrate. The operation mechanism relies on injection of photoexcited electrons from MoS2 to the SLG channel. The external responsivity is 45...

We present an experiment where subjects judged the relative complexity of 21 high-resolution building, room, and tabletop scenes, rendered with photorealistic methods. Scenes were gathered from web archives and va...

We report that human acetyl-CoA synthetase 2 (AceCS2) is a mitochondrial matrix protein. AceCS2 is reversibly acetylated at Lys-642 in the active site of the enzyme. The mitochondrial sirtuin SIRT3 interacts with AceCS2 and deacetylates Lys-642 both in vitro and in vivo. Deacetylation of AceCS2 by SIRT3 activates the acetyl-CoA synthetase activity of AceCS2. This report identifies the first ace...
