Cabralia trifasciata Moore, 1882 is transferred from the Ophiderinae (Erebidae), to Noctuidae: Noctuinae, Phosphilini and Cromobergia Bourquin, 1937 (= 1882), Cucullia teichii Berg, 1885, Speocropia similacis 1937, syn. nov. are recognized as junior subjective synonyms of 1882.

The male holotype of Trite lineata Simon, 1885 is redescribed and the palp is illustrated for the first time. The female is formally described. Three new species are diagnosed, described and illustrated: Trite caledoniensis sp. nov., T. guilberti sp. nov. and T. simoni sp. nov. Remarks on distribution and relationships of the genus are given.

The monotypic genus Linoderus Sharp, 1885 was described based on a species from Panama and since the original description nearly nothing has been added to its taxonomical knowledge.
