We use the linear σ model to analyse the dynamics of a disoriented chiral condensate. For idealized boundary conditions appropriate to high energy collisions, the problem can be reduced to a one dimensional one. The evolution of the chiral state is then that of a simple dynamical system and can be studied analytically. PCAC number(s): 25.75.+r, 13.85.Hd , 03.50.Kk February 1993 LPTHE Orsay 94/1...
Darboux transformation is reconsidered for the supersymmetric KdV system. By iterating the Darboux transformation, a supersymmetric extension of the Crum transformation is obtained for the Manin-Radul SKdV equation, in doing so one gets Wronskian superdeterminant representations for the solutions. Particular examples provide us explicit supersymmetric extensions, super solitons, of the standard...

An advanced facility for the production of exotic shortlived isotopes far from stability (RIA) could use as the driver a high power cw superconducting linac [1]. Due to the wide range of particle velocities ( =0:019-0:81), different cavity types are required. This paper describes a possible design for the injector portion (up to =0:1) of the driver linac. The proposed injector design consists o...

Inclusive electron scattering from nuclei at large x and Q2 is the result of a reaction mechanism that includes both quasi–elastic scattering from nucleons and deep inelastic scattering from the quark consitituents of the nucleons. Data in this regime can be used to study a wide variety of topics, including the extraction of nuclear momentum distributions, the influence of final state interacti...
