LIB(Lithium Ion Battery)はモバイル機器や電気自動車など様々なところで用いられている.LIBの電池性能は,負極上に生成されるSEI(Solid Electrolyte Interphase)被膜に大きく左右される.SEI被膜は初回充電時に,負極上にナノメートルオーダーの厚みで生成されることが知られている.SEI被膜はLIBの充放電に必要不可欠なものであるが,必要以上に厚みが増すと電池性能の低下につながる.このため,LIBのさらなる性能向上には,SEI被膜の構造を解析し,SEI被膜を制御することが重要である.本稿では,ラボ用HAXPES(Hard X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy)であるAg Lα線と従来から使用されているAl Kα線を用いて,LIB負極上に生成されたSEI被膜を分析した事例を紹介する.
