Let $G$ be a group with identity $e$ and $R$ be a commutative $G$-graded ring with nonzero unity $1$. In this article, we introduce the concept of graded $r$-ideals. A proper graded ideal $P$ of a graded ring $R$ is said to be graded $r$-ideal if whenever $a, bin h(R)$ such that $abin P$ and $Ann(a)={0}$, then $bin P$. We study and investigate the behavior of graded $r$-ideals to introduce ...
Topological Indices of Total Graph and Zero Divisor Graph of Commutative Ring: A Polynomial Approach
The algebraic polynomial plays a significant role in mathematical chemistry to compute the exact expressions of distance-based, degree-distance-based, and degree-based topological indices. index is utilized as tool study quantitative structure activity relationship (QSAR) structures property (QSPR) which correlate molecular its different properties activities. Graphs containing finite commutati...
Let $R$ be a commutative ring with identity, and $ mathrm{A}(R) $ be the set of ideals with non-zero annihilator. The annihilating-ideal graph of $ R $ is defined as the graph $AG(R)$ with the vertex set $ mathrm{A}(R)^{*}=mathrm{A}(R)setminuslbrace 0rbrace $ and two distinct vertices $ I $ and $ J $ are adjacent if and only if $ IJ=0 $. In this paper, conditions under which $AG(R)$ is either E...
The paper proposes a new construction for studying various properties of a polynomial with respect to an ideal generated by a finite basis of polynomials. These properties include, among others, (i) checking whether the polynomial is a zero divisor in the residue class ring defined by the associated ideal and (ii) checking whether the polynomial is invertible in the residue class ring defined b...
The vertex-connectivity and edge-connectivity of the zero-divisor graph associated to a finite commutative ring are studied. It is shown that the edgeconnectivity of ΓR always coincides with the minimum degree. When R is not local, it is shown that the vertex-connectivity also equals the minimum degree, and when R is local, various upper and lower bounds are given for the vertex-connectivity.
Let R be a commutative ring with identity. An ideal I of a ring R is called an annihilating ideal if there exists r ∈ R \ {0} such that Ir = (0) and an ideal I of R is called an essential ideal if I has non-zero intersection with every other non-zero ideal of R. The sum-annihilating essential ideal graph of R, denoted by AER, is a graph whose vertex set is the set of all non-zero annihilating i...
In this article we discuss the graphs of the sets of zero-divisors of a ring. Now let R be a ring. Let G be a graph with elements of R as vertices such that two non-zero elements a, b ∈ R are adjacent if ab = ba = 0. We examine such a graph and try to find out when such a graph is planar and when is it complete etc. Mathematics Subject Classification: Primary 16-xx, 05-xx; Secondary 05C50
