10-Formyltetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase (EC 1.5.1.6) is a bifunctional enzyme, displaying both NADP(+)-dependent dehydrogenase activity for the formation of tetrahydrofolate and CO2, and NADP(+)-independent hydrolase activity for the formation of tetrahydrofolate and formate. A previous report [Case, Kaisaki and Steele (1988) J. Biol. Chem. 263, 1024-1027] claimed that dehydrogenase and hydrola...
Taxonomy development and maintenance has traditionally been a laborious and on-going challenge, not to mention costly. The most effective approach is to use rules-based categorization, providing enterprises complete control of rules-based descriptors unique to their organization. Since all rules can be defined and managed, error-prone results utilizing “training” algorithms typically found in o...
we report herein the development of a highly sensitive colorimetric method for the detection of 4-hydroxy-2-mercapto-6-methylpyrimidine (mtu) which acts as an anti-thyroid drug utilizing citrate capped gold nanoparticles (au-nps). this thiol-containing molecule exhibits intriguing affinity with au-nps. the reactivity involves the displacement of the citrate shell by the thiolate shell followed ...
applications such as high definition viedeo reproduction, portable computers, wireless, and multimedia demand, and ever-increasing need for ligh-frequency high-resolution and low-power analog-to-digital converters. flash, two-step flash, and pipeline convertors are fast but consume large amount of power and require large area. to overcome these problems, successive approximation converter blo...
The complete genome of citrus leprosis virus nuclear type (CiLV-N) was identified by small RNA sequencing utilizing leprosis-affected citrus samples collected from the state of Querétaro, Mexico. The nucleotide identity and phylogenetic analysis indicate that CiLV-N is very closely related to orchid fleck virus, which typically infects Cymbidium species.
Particulate matter is defined as a mixture of airborne solid particles and liquid droplets that can be inhaled and may cause serious health problems. Such elements are currently measured utilizing air quality monitoring devices that provide information on PM 10 and PM 2.5 levels giving information on pollution levels. However, many difficulties are encountered in the determination of nanosized ...
