IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a recently recognized fibroinflammatory condition associated with disease in nearly every organ, including the meninges. A proportion of idiopathic hypertrophic pachymeningitis cases may involve a component of meningeal IgG4-RD. We present a patient with severe bilateral vision loss found to have thickening of the dura mater on MRI, and subsequently diagnosed w...
Chronic sclerosing sialadenitis (CSS) (Kuttner's tumor) is a benign fibroinflammatory condition most commonly affecting the submandibular gland. We report five cases of symptomatic delayed cyst formation after radiosurgery for intracranial arterial venous malformations. Median time to discovery of the cysts following most recent radiosurgery was 59 months (range, 34-89 months). In all five patients, the radiation therapy-induced cysts exhibited tumefactive characteristics, including vasogenic edema, mass effect, and nodular enhancement....
IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a newly recognised, multiorgan, inflammatory disease, and its full clinical spectrum remains undefined. We present a biopsy-proven case of IgG4-RD presenting with a parapharyngeal mass with intracranial extension and possible involvement of the brain parenchyma. We highlight the importance of considering the diagnosis in those presenting with tumefactive lesion...
