In the theory of traffic flows the main characteristics are: intensity, speed, and density.  They make it possible to use hydrodynamic models. In connection with the development of modern highways and road networks, traffic flows behavior is becoming more and more complex and diverse. In particular, the B.Kerner studies have shown that the laminar solution of hydrodynamic models is poorly corre...

The dark space, which is formed ahead of a detached shock of a blunt body in a flow of ionized argon, was theoretically investigated, and its mechanism was revealed. The electron energy equation, electron continuity equation and continuity equation of the first excited-level atoms were formulized separatly in a shock layer and in a free stream, and then the free-stream solutions were connected ...

We study a diffusion with random, time dependent coefficients. Moreover, the diffusion coefficient is allowed to degenerate. We prove the invariance principle when this diffusion is supposed to be controlled by another one with time independent coefficients.

Let G = (V,E) be a finite acyclic directed graph. Being motivated by a study of certain aspects of cluster algebras, we are interested in a class of triangulations of the cone of non-negative flows in G, F+(G). To construct a triangulation, we fix a framing at each inner vertex v of G, which consists of two linear orders: one on the set of incoming edges, and the other on the set of outgoing ed...

A numerical study of 3D electrokinetic flows through micromixers was performed. The micromixers considered here consisted of heterogeneous rectangular microchannels with prescribed patterns of zeta-potential at their walls. Numerical simulation of electroosmotic flows within heterogeneous channels requires solution of the Navier-Stokes, Ernest-Plank and species concentration equations. It is kn...

In recent years, the study of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) accretion flow around compact objects has become very important since the magnetic field in ubiquitous in the universe and it should play a part in the black hole accretion, especially close to the inner disk. The pioneering works of Mestel (1967) and Weber & Davis (1967) etc. were further extended by Chakrabarti (1990) for rotating compac...

Network information flow emerged as a fertile research ground over a decade ago, with the advent of network coding that encourages information flows to be encoded when they meet within a data network. In this work, we propose the problem of space information flow — the transmission of information flows in a geometric space, instead of in a fixed, existing network topology. In this new model, in...

In this paper, we study the moduli spaces of noncollapsed Ricci flow solutions with bounded energy and scalar curvature. We show a weak compactness theorem for such moduli spaces and apply it to study isoperimetric constant control, Kähler Ricci flow and moduli space of gradient shrinking solitons.
