This paper introduces a novel bang–bang sliding control of a class of single-input bilinear systems. The sliding function is chosen via the well-known pole-assignment method for linear time-invariant systems. Importantly, the bang–bang sliding control generates a reaching-and-sliding region and a stable-sliding region, each expressed by a set of linear inequalities. Both regions comprise the eq...

In this work a sliding mode control method for a nonholonomic mobile robot using adaptive neural network is proposed. Due to this property and restricted mobility, the trajectory tracking of this system has been one of the research topics for the last ten years. The proposed control structure combines a feedback linearization model, based on a kinematics nominal model, and a practical design th...

In this paper, we derive new results for global chaos control of chaotic systems via sliding control. We also explore the analysis and global chaos control of the hyperchaotic Li system (2005) using sliding control. The global chaos control results via sliding control have been established using Lyapunov stability theory. Numerical simulations using MATLAB are shown to validate and depict the e...

In this paper, we consider nested sliding mode control of SISO nonlinear systems, perturbed by bounded matched and unmatched uncertainties. The systems are assumed to be in strictfeedback form. A step wise procedure is introduced to obtain the controller. In each step, a continuous sliding mode controller is designed as virtual control law. Then the next step sliding surface is defined by using...

In this paper, a nonsingular terminal sliding mode concept is introduced for the control of a class of nonlinear dynamical systems. This nonsingular terminal sliding mode control not only enables the £nite time convergence of the system equilibrium, but also eliminates the singularity problem associated with conventional terminal sliding mode control. Simulations are presented to show the effec...

Sliding mode control is quickly becoming a popular research ...eld due to the several favorable qualities, including robustness. Linear quadratic control has been one of the more popular and more traditional control techniques, partially due to the ease of implementation and its optimality quality. In this paper, we provide an introduction to sliding mode control. A technique is suggested to al...

Sliding mode controller is applied to an ABS system in this paper. A mathematical model is used for controller design and evaluation. Finally, the proposed control action is compared with that of a bang-bang controller. Simulation results reveal the effectiveness of the proposed sliding mode controller. Key-Words: sliding mode control, ABS, slip, bang –bang control.

−This study mainly focuses on the development of a total sliding-mode control (TSMC) strategy for a Chua’s chaotic circuit. The TSMC scheme, which is insensitive to uncertainties including parameter variations and external disturbance in the whole control process, comprises the baseline model design and the curbing controller design. In the baseline model design a computed torque controller is ...

this paper proposes a control strategy for a cable-suspended robot based on sliding mode approach (smc) which is faced to external disturbances and parametric uncertainties. this control algorithm is based on lyapunov technique which is able to provide the stability of the end-effecter during tracking a desired path with an acceptable precision. the main contribution of the paper is to calculat...

one of the most important applications of multi-objective optimization is adjusting parameters ofpractical engineering problems in order to produce a more desirable outcome. in this paper, the decoupled sliding mode control technique (dsmc) is employed to stabilize an inverted pendulum which is a classic example of inherently unstable systems. furthermore, a new multi-objective particle swarm o...
