Abstract Background Endophytic bacteria are an association between and plant tissue that could play a role as biocontrol agent. Main body were isolated from several high root plants in Aceh, Indonesia. This study aimed to detect the chemical compounds of potential endophytic agent against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici (FOL). There 198 bacterial isolates detected roots 9 higher plant. Th...
Serratia marcescens has been detected in space habitats. To explore the influence of the space flight environment on this bacterium, we investigated the genome sequence of LCT-SM166, which was isolated after space flight and has a specific carbon source utilization pattern.
We provide here the first genome sequence of a Serratia rubidaea isolate, a human-opportunistic pathogen. This reference sequence will permit a comparison of this species with others of the Serratia genus.
Draft Genome Sequences of Serratia marcescens Strains CAPREx SY13 and CAPREx SY21 Isolated from Yams
Serratia marcescens strains CAPREx SY13 and CAPREx SY21 were isolated from Ghanaian yams from a London market. The draft genomes suggest that the strains are similar, with genomes of 5,308,004 and 5,157,134 bp and 59.35 and 59.62 G+C%, respectively. The genes necessary for prodigiosin biosynthesis were present in both strains.
The bacterium Serratia plymuthica strain S13 was demonstrated to colonize various plant-associated microhabitats and to suppress damping-off diseases. The completed genome sequence has a size of 5.5 Mb, containing 4,957 putative protein-encoding regions, and will be used to identify genetic determinants enabling the bacterium to escort a plant's entire life cycle.
Serratia plymuthica strain PRI-2C is a rhizosphere bacterial strain with antagonistic activity against different plant pathogens. Here we present the 5.39-Mb (G+C content, 55.67%) draft genome sequence of S. plymuthica strain PRI-2C with the aim of providing insight into the genomic basis of its antagonistic activity.
Serratia marcescens (S.M) is a species of gram–negative bacteria in the family enterobacteriaceae. A human pathogen, S. marcescens is involved in nosocomial infections, particularly in urinary tract and wound infections. This report describes a 63 years-old man that referred to hospital with dyspnea FC IV and he underwent cardiac valves replacement surgery with a diagnosis...
The genus Serratia a member of the Enterobacteriaceae (see Introduction to the Family Enterobacteriaceae from the second edition.), is comprised of a group of bacteria that are related both phenotypically and by DNA sequence. The type species of the genus is Serratia marcescens. Some species and biotypes of Serratia produce a nondiffusible red pigment, prodigiosin, or 2-methyl-3-amyl-6-methoxyp...
In the present study, we determined the draft genome sequence of the entomopathogenic bacterium Serratia liquefaciens FK01, which is highly virulent to the silkworm. The draft genome is ~5.28 Mb in size, and the G+C content is 55.8%.
