Primary retroperitoneal malignant lymphoma is rare, and primary retroperitoneal indolent B-cell lymphoma has not been reported. A 64-year-old woman presented anuria. Imaging techniques showed large retroperitoneal mass, and biopsies from it revealed non-Hodgkin indolent B-cell lymphoma (small lymphocytic lymphoma/chronic lymphocytic lymphoma). The tumor appeared retroperitoneal primary and extr...

Liposarcomas are neoplasms of mesodermic origin, are derived from adipose tissue and represent <1% of all malignant tumours. Primary liposarcomas of the kidney are very rare. Here, we present the cases of two patients diagnosed with retroperitoneal perirenal myxoid liposarcoma. Computerized tomography was not able to differentiate the retroperitoneal mass from an adrenal tumor. We diagnosed the retroperitoneal tumor by means of selective adrenal angiography.

INTRODUCTION Myelolipomas are uncommon, benign tumors composed of mature adipose tissue and hematopoietic elements. They mostly occur in the adrenal glands, but extra-adrenal myelolipomas have also been reported in other locations such as the presacral region, retroperitoneum, pelvis and mediastinum. Here, we present a case of an extra-adrenal myelolipoma in a rare site: the renal parenchyma. T...

Retroperitoneal cystic lymphangioma is a rare benign tumor. Most patients eventually experience some symptoms that necessitate therapeutic intervention. Excision is the treatment of choice, and some cases of laparoscopic resection have been reported. We report another case of a huge retroperitoneal cystic lymphangioma that was successfully excised laparoscopically with the SAND balloon catheter...

BACKGROUND Retroperitoneal schwannomas are very rare and are usually found incidentally. CASES REPORT Two rare cases of retroperitoneal schwannomas are reported. Both were incidentally found during US scans for non-specific epigastric pain and were initially diagnosed as non-secreting retroperitoneal tumors. The diagnosis was confirmed by CT scan. In both patients the tumors were resected. Th...
