a novel neuro-based method is introduced to solve the laminar boundary layer and the turbulent free jet equations. the proposed method is based on cellular neural networks, cnns, which are recently applied widely to solve partial differential equations. the effectiveness of the method is illustrated through some examples.

Transformer fault diagnosis is an interesting subject for plant operators due to its criticality in power systems. There are several international standards available to interpret power transformer faults based on dissolved gas analysis. In certain cases these standards are not able to provide correct diagnosis. There are several soft computing techniques available for modelling transformer fau...

Magnetizing inrush currents are known as the most critical potential threat in maloperation of transformer differential protection. Therefore, there is a need to detect current from internal fault avoid protection maloperation. Due possibility (CT) saturation at high level and current, discrimination algorithm should function appropriately CT conditions. Here, method developed based on rate pha...

Abstract: This paper presents a seamless transition method for a droop-controlled inverter. The droop control is suitable to make the inverter work as a voltage source in both islanded and grid-connected modes, however, the transfer between theses modes can result in a big inrush current that may damage the system. The proposed method allows the droop-controlled inverter to improve the transien...

This article puts forward a new algorithm based on Kullback–Leibler divergence (KLD) for discriminating inrush and internal fault currents in power transformers. Specifically, the main idea of this is to utilize current signal discrepancy distribution with ideal waveforms. To such an aim, proposed index reproduces differential signal. Utilizing fast modified least squares technique, generated. ...

A new synchronous rectifier (SR) driving method is proposed using primary current sensing in this paper. Because the magnetizing current of transformer is included in primary winding of transformer, it can’t be used to generate the driving signals of SRs directly. A current compensating winding in current transformer is used to cancel out the magnetizing current and generate suitable driving si...
