An H2 servo controller is proposed for networked control systems. The network-induced delay is assumed to be time-varying and vary in the known range. The proposed controller guarantees stability and H2 performance for all timevarying delay in the known range. The proposed controller is verified using a simple networked motor control system.

In this paper we present a general framework for networked control systems, where all components are assumed to be connected through a communication network. We use the uncertainty threshold principle to show that under certain conditions there is a rate for dropped packets for which an undisturbed networked control system is mean square stable.
