Central giant cell Granuloma is a intraosseous benign lesion. It occurs mostly in first three decades of life and commonly occurs in females. The lesions grew slowly and usually presented clinically as painless swellings. Radiographically they appeared as well-defined unilocular or multilocular radiolucencies with undulating borders. This case is a rare occurrence of Central Giant Cell Granulom...
Two interesting cases of cervical thymic cyst are reported highlighting the importance of this entity which can be missed preoperatively . Thymic cysts are of two types-unilocular and multilocular. They differ in both macroscopic as well as microscopic findings. Histopathology helps to identify these cysts.
Multilocular cystic nephroma is uncommon tumor that supposedly lies at the benign end of the spectrum of adult cystic renal neoplasms. We present a 54-year-old female that underwent a left-sided nephrectomy following incidentally found on CT scan tumor renal mass. Grossly, the specimen from nephrectomy included renal parenchyma bearing tumor formation measuring 9 × 6 cm. The cut section was mul...
OBJECTIVE Multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma (MCRCC) is a recently described variety of renal cell carcinoma with characteristic pathologic and clinical features. The purpose of this study was to analyze the imaging findings of MCRCCs. MATERIALS AND METHODS Ten adult patients with pathologically proven unilateral MCRCC who underwent renal US and CT were included in this study. The radio...
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES The objective of this experiment was to study the effect of CL 316,243 (CL) (a highly selective β3-adrenergic receptor agonist) on cellular changes occurring in retroperitoneal white adipose tissue (RWAT) of lean and obese rats. METHODS Ten-month-old lean and obese Zucker rats were implanted subcutaneously with osmotic mini-pumps, infusing either saline or CL (1 mg/k...
Cat-scratch disease (CSD) is a common cause of regional lymphadenopathy. We describe 2 children with an unusual presentation of disseminated CSD, the first one presenting with persistent fever, multilocular abscesses in liver and spleen as well as osteolytic lesions in the lumbar spine and the second one with portal vein thrombosis and severe ascites.
Giant multilocular prostatic cystadenoma (GMPC) is a rare benign tumor involving the prostate gland. Microscopically, it masquerades phyllodes tumor or transitional zone hyperplasia. We report one case of GMPC arising from the prostate central zone (CZ), presenting with long-standing aspermia associated with seminal vesicle fibrous obliteration.
A 53-year-old Caucasian female presented to the Oral Medicine Department at the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for consultation regarding facial pain. A panoramic radiograph revealed multilocular radiolucencies in the right articular eminence. A CT scan was then performed, and the radiolucencies were determined to be pneumatization of the articular eminence.
