Although most of the maxillary sinus retention cysts are asymptomatic, a few of them increase in size and cause symptoms. However, they rarely erode bony walls nor protrude into the inferior meatus. I present 2 cases with maxillary sinus retention cysts protruding into the inferior meatus by making a large defect on the medial wall of the maxillary sinus.

Nonsquamous cancers of the maxillary sinus are even rarer as is evident from the limited data available on the clinical characteristics and outcomes. Mucoepidermoid carcinoma accounts for 13% of all malignancies occurring in maxillary sinus. We report a rare c...

We present a case of a foreign body which migrated to the maxillary ostia by mucociliary action from its initial location on the floor of the maxillary sinus where it was traumatically introduced. This report illustrates that a powerful mechanism of mucociliary action can cause relatively heavy objects within the maxillary sinus to migrate naturally to the sinus ostia against gravitational force.
