We discuss issues related to modeling of nonlinearities and hysteresis arising in a class of magnetorheological-based smart elastomers. The dynamic models, intended for use in parameter estimation and control problems, are presented in the context of simple elongation of a lled rubber-like rod. Theoretical, computational and experimental results are given.
Magnetorheological (MR) materials are a group of smart used in new technologies with controlled reliability. The development these is expanding, starting from MR fluids, elastomers, grease, and gel. This large number material types further expands the various applications as creative technology to support performance enhancement. For example, fluid improve shock absorbers such vehicle suspensio...
background: the present study aimed to determine the prevalence and associated risk factors of vaginal trichomoniasis in women referred to gynecologic clinic in benha university hospital, egypt. methods: two hundred female patients enrolled in the study. vaginal samples were obtained from them and examined for t. vaginalis by wet mount, giemsa stain, acridine orange (ao) stain and culture on mo...
The aerosol properties of volcanic ash can cause aircraft engine failure. method is used to predict the distribution WRF-Chem model, which a numerical weather forecasting model that added elements chemistry parameters. This study aims examine comparison direction and remote sensing eruption Mount Merapi on March 3, 2020. results show there are differences in terms bin 5-6 classification compare...
The mechanical properties of magnetorheological (MR) materials can be changed continuously, rapidly and reversibly by an applied magnetic field. Solid MR materials consist of magnetically polarisable particles, generally iron, in an elastomer matrix. The required iron concentration is high, about 30% by volume. Problems and solutions will be discussed related to MR-technology. Finally long-term...
We investigate the possibility of using magnetorheological polydimethylsiloxane (MR-PDMS) spheres as micro-optical resonators. In particular, the effect of a magnetic field on the whispering gallery modes (WGM) of these resonators is studied. The applied field induces mechanical deformation, causing shifts in the WGM. The microspheres are made of PDMS with embedded magnetically polarizable part...
The paper deals with coupled electromagnetic, hydrodynamic, thermal and mechanical motion phenomena in magnetorheological fluid transducers. The common structures of those devices are presented and discussed. The governing equations of coupled phenomena are presented. The numerical implementation of the mathematical model is based on the finite element method and a step-by-step algorithm. Selec...
We formulate a model for acoustic excitations in a magnetorheological fluid. Constitutive equations are derived for Navier-Stokes flow coupled with Maxwell’s Equations. The viscosity of the fluid is modified to reflect the dependence of waves propagating within the fluid itself and in the case where they propagate along the network of particles.
This paper analyzed the working principle of the tester for yield stress of magnetorheological fluid based on the pulling test , combined with the Ohm's law of magnetic circuit and Ampere circuital theorem, calculated the magnetic circuit of the tester, using finite element software to simulate and analyze the magnetic circuit.
Magnetorheological as well as electrorheological fluids exhibit a phase separation when a field is applied to the suspension. We observe the formation of aggregates elongated in the direction of the field and whose length L is fixed by the thickness of the cell. The
