Introduction: Displacement ENcoding with Stimulated Echoes (DENSE) is a method to acquire myocardial displacement during the cardiac cycle. Spatial position is encoded and stored in the longitudinal magnetization at one point in time, and then read out later in the cardiac cycle, thus directly obtaining the displacement during that interval. The stimulated echo experiment results in a different...

The magnetic state of the single-component molecular compound, [Cu(tmdt)2], is investigated by means of H-NMR. An abrupt spectral broadening below 13 K and a sharp peak in nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate, T 1 , at 13 K are observed as clear manifestations of a second-order antiferromagnetic transition, which is consistent with the previously reported magnetic susceptibility and EPR measure...

We numerically study the spatially-resolved NMR around a single vortex in a noncentrosymmetric superconductor such as CePt3Si. The nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate T −1 1 under the influence of the vortex core states is calculated for an s+ p-wave Cooper pairing state. The result is compared with that for an s-wave pairing state.

Longitudinal relaxation of brain water (1)H magnetization in mammalian brain in vivo is typically analyzed on a per-voxel basis using a monoexponential model, thereby assigning a single relaxation time constant to all (1)H magnetization within a given voxel. This approach was tested by obtaining inversion recovery (IR) data from gray matter of rats at 64 exponentially spaced recovery times. Usi...

This study was designed to elucidate high-K(+)induced response of circular and longitudinal smooth muscle from human gastric corpus using isometric contraction. Contraction from circular and longitudinal muscle stripes of gastric corpus greater curvature and lesser curvature were compared. Circular smooth muscle from corpus greater curvature showed high K(+) (50 mM)-induced tonic contraction. O...

The variety of the normal-state magnetic properties of cuprate high-Tc superconductors is interpreted based on the self-consistent solution of the self-energy equations for the two-dimensional t-J model. The observed variations of the spin correlation length with the hole concentration x, of the spin susceptibility with x and temperature T and the scaling of the static uniform susceptibility ar...

Introduction: In dynmiac contrast enchanted-MRI (DCE-MRI), T1-Weghited spoiled Gradient-Echo (SPGR) sequences are utilized to monitor the distribution of the paramagnetically labeled CAs (contrast agent) in cerebral tumors due to high temporal and spatial resolution [1]. The tissue concentration of CAs measured by CAs effects on the longitudinal relaxation rate of water protons R1 is used by tr...

We present an investigation of the S = 1/2 antiferromagnetically coupled Heisenberg spin chain [PM·Cu(NO3)2·(H2O)2]n (PM = pyrimidine = C4N2H4) with field-induced gap by means of 13C–NMR experiments. From the measurements of NMR shift and spin-lattice relaxation rate 1/T 1 we extract the magnetic exchange parameter J/kB and the size of the spin gap ∆ as function of pressure. The observed pressu...

We report measurements of the full planar O nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate tensor in optimally and underdoped YBa 2Cu 3O y (y56.96 and 6.63). The anisotropy varies strongly with temperature in both samples: for the y56.63 sample, the ratio of the relaxation rate measured with the applied field in the ab plane and oriented parallel to the copper-oxygen bond axis to that measured with the a...

the molecular weight distribution of 4 commercial isotactic polypropylene (ipp) samples was estimated using rheological data. the dynamic moduli data, obtained from rheological measurements in linear viscoelastic region was used for calculation of relaxation time spectrum, h(τ) and then shear relaxation modulus, g(t). finally, applying thimm kernel function and relaxation modulus data in genera...
