A variety of approaches for generating moving adaptive methods are summarized and compared. They basically fall in two groups: the velocity based methods and the location based ones. The features, including the advantage and weakness, of each group are addressed. Brief numerical results are presented for several commonly used approaches to highlight their features and performance.
BACKGROUND Falls are common in people with multiple sclerosis (PwMS). Previous studies have generally included small samples and had varied methods. OBJECTIVES The objectives of this paper are to compile fall rates across a broad range of ages and disease severity and to definitively assess the extent to which MS-associated and demographic factors influence fall rates. METHODS Individual da...
Objectives: Fall is one of the common reasons of older people referring to emergency rooms. Besides suffering, it exposes huge financial burden on the patient and the community health system, as well. It is important to know about risk factors, predictors, consequences and trauma scoring in elderly following the fall. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of TRISS (Trauma-Injury Severity) f...
18 Juvenile Oncorhynchus mykiss migrate extensively in freshwater during fall. We used 19 individual tagging to study the spatial origin, influences, and outcomes of fall migration on fish 20 that emigrated from summer rearing tributaries during fall (early-emigrants) and those that did 21 not (late-emigrants) in the South Fork John Day River, Oregon. Fall migration amplified body 22 size diffe...
Three cotton fields infested with Meloidogyne incognita were intensively sampled in the fall for 3 years (1996 to 1998) to determine if intensive sampling for M. incognita, for which spatial location is important, was necessary every year in a continuous cotton system. Two composite soil samples (20 cores each), taken over an area covering one-third of the field length and two rows wide, were a...
Slope stability analysis of jointed rocks has been the focus of many studies. The presence of joints and discontinuities in rock environments intensifies instability along with the development of block movements. Many analytical and numerical methods have been proposed and applied to analyze the stability of jointed rock slopes. Computation complexity, incapability of presenting a reliable safe...
Background & Aim: The evaluation of correlation between FEV1 and PEFR has always been under investigation. The importance of understanding this correlation is to use PEFR instead of FEV1. The aim of this study is to evaluate the correlation between FEV1(Forced Expiratory Volume in the first second) and PEFR(Peak Expiratory Flow Rate) after respiratory challenge tests in young men suffering ...
