Multimodal MRI has an important contribution to cancer research. This technique is completely non-invasive and non-ionizing, it provides major information for diagnosis, and answers the questions of therapists before, during, and after treatment. Hence, in this paper we review the interest of these MRI modalities and their impact on the diagnosis, during and after therapeutic care of brain tumo...
Nowadays, in the clinic routine, protein biomarkers of efficacy, or mode of action, are used to better monitor and predict patient responses to drug treatment and diagnosis. Currently, the chemiluminescence biomarkers are applied for validation methods and screening. Here, was revised the development of the new analytical tool through immunological (antibody) and chemiluminescent methods combin...
The principal conditions requiring emergency/urgent intervention in patients with nontraumatic liver lesions are hemorrhage (with or without tumor rupture), rupture of hydatid cysts (with or without infection), complications arising from liver abscesses or congenital liver cysts, rupture related to peliosis hepatis, and in rare cases spontaneous hemorrhage. This article examines each of these c...
Bronchogenic cysts in the muscularis of cardia are very rare lesions. We report a 33-year-old woman who presented epigastric distention, pain, nausea and vomiting. MRI diagnosis lesion was stromal tumor located liver stomach space. Ultrasonic examination indicated that cystic structure closely related to gastric wall, lesions from wall were determined.
Objective: To determine the association between inflammatory mast cells and various diseases of salivary glands.
Material Methods: An experimental lab based descriptive study was done at institute pathology diagnostic medicine, Khyber medical university, Peshawar. Non probability, convenient sampling comprising n=71was tissue biopsies gland were collected from April, 2022 to Sept. 2022. G...
Differential expression and activity of constitutive mitochondrial nitric oxide synthase (mtNOS) in the mitochondrial compartment is followed by significant variations in matrix nitric oxide (NO) steady-state concentration. The mitochondrial utilization of NO involves the production of superoxide anion and H(2)O(2), a species freely diffusible outside the mitochondria that participates in the m...
Focal liver lesions are defined as solid or liquid-containing masses foreign to the normal anatomy of the liver that may be told apart from the latter organ using imaging techniques. Their nature is widely varying, and may range from benign lesions with an indolent clinical course to aggressive malignant tumors (Table I). They are common findings as a result of the ever increasing use of imagin...
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the third leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Its pathogenesis is frequently linked to liver inflammation. Gain-of-function mutations in the gene encoding β-catenin are frequent genetic modifications found in human HCCs. Thus, we investigated whether inflammation was a component of β-catenin-induced tumorigenesis using genetically modified mouse mo...
Even with the recent evolution of imaging techniques, and with the ever-increasing role of serum markers, direct analysis of tissue samples maintains its role in modern medicine. This is especially true for the diagnosis and assessment of the prognosis and evolution of a series of viral, tumoral and inflammatory liver diseases. Thus, liver biopsy and histological assess‐ ment of the liver paren...
