According to two estimated relations between the initial period and the dynamo-generated magnetic dipole field of pulsars, we calculate the statistical distributions of pulsar initial periods. It is found that proto-pulsars are very likely to have rotation periods between 20 and 30 ms, and that most of the pulsars rotate initially at a period < 60 ms.

ABSTRACT- Crop rotation has many benefits for agro-ecosystems production. In order to evaluate two current rotation systems of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) production in Kamalabad region of Fasa, an experiment was conducted during 2015-2016 growing season. The rotation systems were fallow-wheat and cotton (Gossypium spp.)-wheat. Research plots were arranged as a randomized complete block design...

This paper proposes an approach for retrieving videos based on object trajectories and subtrajectories. First, trajectories are segmented into subtrajectories according to the characteristics of the movement. Efficient trajectory segmentation relies on a symbolic representation and uses selected control points along the trajectory. The selected control points with high curvature capture the tra...

We show that the unexpected chirality of aggregated structures based on an uncharged achiral porphyrin system originates from small temperature gradients that act as an asymmetrical physical perturbation; the consequent thermal force gives rise to the thermophoretic motion of the aggregates. We establish that the induced optical activity can be controlled, and even vanished, by minimizing the t...

We explore the influence of the phase of localized plasmon resonances on the magneto-optical activity of nanoferromagnets. We demonstrate that these systems can be described as two orthogonal damped oscillators coupled by the spin-orbit interaction. We prove that only the spin-orbit induced transverse plasmon plays an active role on the magneto-optical properties by controlling the relative amp...

Residuated lattices form the algebraic counterpart of substructural logics [4]. Rotation construction for t-norms has been introduced in [9] and has been generalized to arbitrary residuated posets in [7]. The reader is referred also to [13, 6, 5]. The rotationannihilation construction has been introduced in [10, 7]. The rotation construction has proved fundamental in the structural description ...

We characterize the two-dimensionalization process in the turbulent flow produced by an impeller rotating at a rate ω in a fluid rotating at a rate Ω around the same axis for Rossby number Ro = ω/Ω down to 10 −2. The flow can be described as the superposition of a large-scale vertically invariant global rotation and small-scale shear layers detached from the impeller blades. As Ro decreases, th...

The rotational dynamics of particles subject to external illumination is found to produce light amplification and inelastic scattering at high rotation velocities. Light emission at frequencies shifted with respect to the incident light by twice the rotation frequency dominates over elastic scattering within a wide range of light and rotation frequencies. Remarkably, net amplification of the in...

Rotation curves of spiral galaxies are known with reasonable precision for a large number of galaxies with similar morphologies. The data implies that non-Keplerian fall–off is seen. This implies that (i) large amounts of dark matter must exist at galactic scales or (ii) that Newtonian gravity must somehow be corrected. We present a method for inverting the integral relation between an elemental...
