Underwater acoustics is widely used in many applications, such as oceanography, marine biology, hydrography, fishery, etc. Different models are introduced to simulate the underwater acoustic propagation in the oceans and the seas. In this study, the Ray Theory model is used to simulate the acoustic wave propagation in a shallow-freshwater river (Gono River) located in western part of Japan. The...
formulation is given in terms of the coupling of the fluctuating axial fields (Ẽz ,B̃z) and incorporates shear and compressional Alfvén waves, drift waves, and ion acoustic waves. The kinetic response of the electrons includes pitch-angle scattering ~Lorentz model! and the ions are treated as a magnetized, cold fluid. Detailed quantitative comparisons of the theoretical predictions are made with...
In a number of papers it was shown that there are one-dimensional systems such that they contain solutions with, so called, overcompressive singular shock waves besides the usual elementary waves (shock and rarefaction ones as well as contact discontinuities). One can see their definition for a general 2 × 2 system with fluxes linear in one of dependent variables in [8]. This paper is devoted t...
Laser or electromagnetic radiation, in general, interacts with plasma very interesting ways. In most cases, they induce orbital angular momentum (OAM) such plasmas due to their polarization effects. Dust-ion-acoustic waves (DIAWs) immovable dust particles are studied the effect of rotation produced laser interaction. The electrons considered non-Maxwellian limit, inertial ions and static grains...
The propagation of dissipative electrostatic (ion-acoustic) solitary waves in a magnetized plasma with trapped electrons is considered via the Schamel formalism. direction assumed to be arbitrary, i.e., oblique respect magnetic field, for generality. A non-Maxwellian (nonthermal) two-component considered, consisting an inertial ion fluid, cold simplicity, and electrons. (kappa) κ-type distribut...
Coagulation of electrons to form macro-electrons or compounds in high temperature plasma is not generally expected to occur. Here we investigate, based on earlier work, the possibility for such electron compound formation (non-quantum “pairing”) mediated in the presence of various kinds of plasma waves via the generation of attractive electrostatic potentials, the necessary condition for coagul...
Numerical experiments involving the interaction of two solitary waves of the ion acoustic plasma equations are described. An exact 2-soliton solution of the relevant KdV equation was fitted to the initial data, and good agreement was maintained throughout the entire interaction. The data demonstrates that the soliton interactions are virtually elastic. AMS (MOS) Subject Classifications: 35Q51, ...
