This paper presents a real-time, TMS320C40 DSP based implementation of a direct-form adaptive infinite impulse response(IIR) filter using the Least-meansquare(LMS) algorithm. Stability monitoring of the IIR filter during adaptation is discussed. A detailed description of the implementation and hardware platform is also provided.
A new class of two-channel IIR/FIR filter banks was introduced in [1] with half-band IIR analysis filters and FIR synthesis filters.
