nowadays,it is important to consider environmental issues,as ecological problems and their severe effect intensify in iran, particularly in khuzestan province.the environmental effects of hydroelectric plants are highly regarded due to their significant impact on an extensive area.the lack of safe path for fish passing through the turbines is one of these damages. in order to deal with these cha...

The identification of potential sources groundwater pollution in the Isly basin (North-East Morocco) and understanding their spatial variability, response to certain natural anthropogenic forcings, were approached through combined study ionic ratios statistical analyses hydro-chemical data. results Principal Component Analysis (PCA) show that two factors explain nearly 78% variance. Factor 1 is...

The HYDRO mini-application has been successfully used as a research vehicle in previous PRACE projects [6]. In this paper, we evaluate the benefits of the tasking model introduced in recent OpenMP standards [9]. We have developed a new version of HYDRO using the concept of OpenMP tasks and this implementation is compared to already existing and optimized OpenMP versions of HYDRO.

Abstract Heavy rainfall in extreme climates often causes natural disasters such as floods, landslides, and debris flows. Rainfall-induced slope instabilities are major geological (Glade Environ Geol 35:160–174, 1998; Dai et al. We propose a projection-based monolithic model order reduction procedure for class of problems in nonlinear mechanics with internal variables. The work is motivated by applications to thermo-hydro-mechanical (THM) systems radioactive waste disposal. THM equations the behavior temperature, pore water pressure, and solid displacement neighborhood geological repositories, which contain are respons...

3D modeling method is divided into geospatial modeling and 3D geological modeling. 3D geological modeling technique has become a favorable tool for people to observe and analyze the geological body enriched in mineral resources. Unlike geospatial modeling, 3D geological modeling must consider various geological conditions affecting spatial shape and petrophysical distribution of geological body...

Abstract. In steep wildfire-burned terrains, intense rainfall can produce large runoff that trigger highly destructive debris flows. However, the ability to accurately characterize and forecast flow susceptibility in burned terrains using physics-based tools remains limited. Here, we augment Weather Research Forecasting Hydrological modeling system (WRF-Hydro) simulate both overland channelized...

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Hydro-Jet technology has long been used for cutting various materials like metal and wood in the industrial field. In the medical field, this technology has been applied successfully for selective cutting of the parenchyma of the liver. However, to our knowledge, no data exist on the use of the Hydro-Jet technique for laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The purpose of this s...
