String theory has experienced a revolutionary period since around 1995. One of the most important discovery is the D-brane. It has opened up profound relationship between string theory and quantum field theory. Now we have come to the stage to consider realistic physics by applying the techniques developed in string theory to QCD. The purpose of this note is to provide a brief overview on the a...

A systematic method is developed to study classical motion of a mass point in gravitational gauge field. First, the formulation of gauge theory of gravity in arbitrary curvilinear coordinates is given. Then in spherical coordinates system, a spherical symmetric solution of the field equation of gravitational gauge field is obtained, which is just the Schwarzschild solution. In gauge theory of g...

We consider the constraints on the effective Lagrangian of gauge fields on D-branes imposed by the compatibility of the description by non-commutative gauge theory with that by ordinary gauge theory in the presence of a constant B field background. It is argued that the constraints are in general derived without assuming the form of the field redefinition which relates the non-commutative gauge...

the bft approach is used to formulate the electronic states in graphene through a non-commutative space in the presence of a constant magnetic field b for the first time. in this regard, we introduce a second class of constrained system, which is not gauge symmetric but by applying bft method and extending phase space, the second class constraints  converts  to the first class constraints so th...

We construct N = 1 A-D-E quiver gauge theory with the gauge kinetic term which depends on the adjoint chiral superfields, as a low energy effective theory on D5-branes wrapped on 2-cycles of Calabi-Yau 3-fold in IIB string theory. The field-dependent gauge kinetic term can be engineered by introducing B-field which holomorphically varies on the base space (complex plane) of Calabi-Yau. We consi...

Marchesini showed that the Fokker–Planck Hamiltonian for Yang-Mills theories is the loop operator. Jevicki and Rodrigues showed that the Fokker– Planck Hamiltonian of some matrix models cöıncides with temporal gauge non-critical string field theory Hamiltonians constructed by Ishibashi and Kawai (and their collaborators). Thus the loop operator for Yang–Mills theory is the temporal gauge Hamilt...

We formulate the field equations for SU(∞) Einstein-Yang-Mills theory, and find spherically symmetric black-hole solutions. This model may be motivated by string theory considerations, given the enormous gauge symmetries which characterize string theory. The solutions simplify considerably in the presence of a negative cosmological constant, particularly for the limiting cases of a very large c...

We introduce the spherical field formalism for free gauge fields. We discuss the structure of the spherical Hamiltonian for both general covariant gauge and radial gauge and point out several new features not present in the scalar field case. We then use the evolution equations to compute gauge-field and field-strength correlators. 1 Overview Spherical field theory is a new non-perturbative met...

We lift the dynamical field of the A∞ superstring field theory to the large Hilbert space by introducing a gauge invariance associated with the eta zero mode. We then provide a field redefinition which relates the lifted field to the dynamical field of Berkovits’ superstring field theory in the large Hilbert space. This generalizes the field redefinition in the small Hilbert space described in ...

We argue that the quantized non-Abelian gauge theory can be obtained as the infrared limit of the corresponding classical gauge theory in a higher dimension. We show how the transformation from classical to quantum field theory emerges, and calculate Planck’s constant from quantities defined in the underlying classical gauge theory.
