While a variety of research studies have examined factors that influence individuals’ attitudes toward and use of websites, an important yet understudied stream looks at the role of website credibility. We examine website credibility through the lens of prominence-interpretation theory. Fogg (2003) developed this theory to help explain the relationships between what users observe about a websit...

This paper has reviewed theoretical and empirical studies on information credibility with particular questions of how scholars have conceptualized credibility that is known as a multifaceted concept with underlying dimensions; how credibility has been operationalized and measured in empirical studies, especially in the Web context; what are the important user characteristics that contribute to ...

A framework for a multi-attribute multi-source data fusion is described. Uncertainty of data is modeled by fuzzy sets. The problem is considered on a general level. Credibility of sources, compatibility of data, as well as their reasonableness, are taken into consideration. The proposed method is illustrated by an example.

Credit scoring analysis is an important activity, especially nowadays after a huge number of defaults has been one of the main causes of the financial crisis. Among the many different tools used to model credit risk, the recent development of rough set models has proved effective. The original development of rough set theory has been widely generalized and combined with other approaches to unce...

The application of user emotion recognition for fear is expanding in various fields, including the quantitative evaluation of horror movies, dramas, advertisements, games, and the monitoring of emergency situations in convenience stores (i.e., a clerk threatened by a robber), in addition to criminal psychology. Most of the existing methods for the recognition of fear involve referring to a sing...

the starting point of this paper is given by priestley’s papers, where a theory of representation of distributive lattices is presented. the purpose of this paper is to develop a representation theory of fuzzy distributive lattices in the finite case. in this way, some results of priestley’s papers are extended. in the main theorem, we show that the category of finite fuzzy priestley space...
