Indicators providing highly sensitive and functional group specific fluorescent response to diisopropyl fluorophosphate (DFP, a nerve gas (G-agent) simulant) are reported. Nonemissive indicator 2 reacts with DFP to give a cyclized compound 2+A- that shows a high emission due to its highly planar and rigid structure. Very weak emission was observed by the addition of HCl. Another indicator based...
Brief introductory outlines of present thesis are discussed in which the general introduction of fluorescent sensors based on pyrene and pyrene derivatives for ions are presented. Result and Discussion: Fluorescence spectroscopy which has been applied to single molecule detection is widely used because of its high sensitivity, facile operation, and low cost. The design of fluorescent sensors fo...

Polyfluorophores built on a DNA scaffold (ODFs) were synthesized and tested for fluorescence responses to the volatiles from M. tuberculosis, E. coli and P. putida in closed Petri dishes. Two sensors in a pattern-based response could distinguish the bacterial strains accurately, suggesting the use of ODFs in rapid identification of infectious agents.
This review focuses on examples reported in the years 2010-2011 dealing with the design of chromogenic and fluorogenic chemosensors or reagents for anions.
A series of polymer chemosensors containing naphthalimide signal moiety and imide recognition moiety for the selective detection of fluoride ions (F(-) ) were synthesized by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization. The polymer chemosensors display obvious absorption and fluorescence variations upon the addition of F(-) , which can be observed by both naked eyes an...
The design and synthesis of selective and sensitive chemosensors for the quantification of environmentally and biologically important ionic species has attracted widespread attention. Amidochlorin p6 (ACP); an effective colorimetric and fluorescent probe for copper ions (Cu(2+)) in aqueous solution derived from methyl pheophorbide-a (MPa) was designed and synthesized. A remarkable color change ...
Mass-spectrometry-based and X-ray fluorescence-based techniques have allowed the study of distribution Zn2+ ions at extracellular intracellular levels over past few years. However, there are some issues during purification steps, sample preparation, suitability for quantification, instruments’ availability. Therefore, work on fluorescent sensors based 8-aminoquinoline as tools to detect in envi...
