The effect of baryon density on parton production processes of gg ⇀↽ ggg and gg ⇀↽ qq̄ is studied using full phase space distribution function and also with inclusion of quantum statistics i.e. Pauli blocking and Bose enhancement factors, in the case of both saturated and unsaturated quark gluon plasma. The rate for the process gg ⇀↽ qq̄ is found to be much less as compared to the most commonly u...

In this work we study the behavior of relativistic ideal Bose and Fermi gases in two space dimensions. Making use of polylogarithm functions we derive a closed and unified expression for their densities. It is shown that both type of gases are essentially inequivalent, and only in the non-relativistic limit the spinless and equal mass Bose and Fermi gases are equivalent as known in the literature.

The unitarity regime of the BCS-BEC crossover can be realized by diluting a system of two-component lattice fermions with an on-site attractive interaction. We perform a systematic-error-free finite-temperature simulation of this system by diagrammatic determinant Monte Carlo method. The critical temperature in units of Fermi energy is found to be T(C)/epsilonF=0.152(7). We also report the beha...

We consider an electron coupled to a random distribution of point vortices in the plane (magnetic impurities). We analyze the effect of the magnetic impurities on the density of states of the test particle, when the magnetic impurities have a spatial probability distribution governed by Bose or Fermi statistic at a given temperature. Comparison is made with the Poisson distribution, showing tha...

Fermi liquid theory is the basic paradigm within which we understand the normal behavior of interacting electron systems, but quantitative values for the parameters that occur in this theory are currently unknown in many important cases. One such case is the two-dimensional homogeneous electron gas (2D HEG), which is realized in a wide variety of semiconductor devices. We have used quantum Mont...

We discuss the low-temperature behavior of the electronic self-energy in the vicinity of a ferromagnetic instability in two dimensions within the twoparticle self-consistent approximation, functional renormalization group and Ward-identity approaches. Although the long-range magnetic order is absent at T > 0, the self-energy has a non-Fermi liquid form at low energies |ω| . ∆0 near the Fermi le...

In this paper we construct complete macroscopic operators in two dimensional type 0 string theory. They represent D-branes localized in the time direction. We give another equivalent description of them as deformed Fermi surfaces. We also discuss a continuous array of such D-branes and show that it can be described by a matrix model with a deformed potential. For appropriate values of parameter...
