Introduction The purpose of this study is to show the non-inferiority telemedicine therapy versus face-to-face using exercise oropharyngeal muscles in 183 patients treated consecutively from 2010 2020. Method We conducted a retrospective comparing two dysphagia treatment groups: online face-to-face. Patients were distributed non-random way but according patient's preferences. All followed same ...
In this paper we present two improvements over Viola and Jones [1] training scheme for face detection. The first is 300-fold speed improvement over the training method presented by Viola and Jones [1] with a modest increase in execution time. The second is a principled method for determining a cascade classifier of optimal speed. We present some preliminary results of our methods.

The question whether the recognition of individual faces is mandatory or task-dependent is still controversial. We employed the N250r component of the event-related potential as a marker of the activation of representations of facial identity in visual memory, in order to find out whether identity-related information from faces is encoded and maintained even when facial identity is task-irrelev...
In previous work [2] we considered the problem of image interpolation from an adaptive optimal recovery point of view. We showed how a training set S determines a quadratic signal class and how to use this signal class to perform image interpolation. In [2] the training set S was taken from the low resolution version of the image we were interpolating. In this paper we continue our discussion o...
Many scholars agree that face-to-face dialogue is the basic format of language use. Our program of research focuses on two unique dimensions of face-to-face dialogue: (i) communicative use of hand gestures, facial displays, and eye gaze and (ii) reciprocity and mutual influence between the participants. These two features often work together in ways that require new theories and research method...
