[1] In the South Pacific, interdecadal-decadal oceanic and atmospheric variability, referred to as the Interdecadal Pacific Oscillation (IPO), is most pronounced in the South Pacific Convergence Zone (SPCZ) salinity front region. Here we have used annual average oxygen isotope (dO) time series from five coral cores collected from Fiji and Tonga in this region to construct a Fiji-Tonga Interdeca...
The generalized Fibonacci cube Qd(f) is the graph obtained from the d-cube Qd by removing all vertices that contain a given binary word f as a factor; the generalized Lucas cube Qd( ↽Ð f ) is obtained from Qd by removing all the vertices that have a circulation containing f as a factor. In this paper the Wiener index of Qd(1) and the Wiener index of Qd( ↽Ð 1) are expressed as functions of the o...
We present a solution to the PoplMark challenge designed by Aydemir et al., which has as a goal the formalization of the metatheory of System F<:. The formalization is carried out in the theorem prover Isabelle/HOL using an encoding based on de Bruijn indices. We start with a relatively simple formalization covering only the basic features of System F<:, and explain how it can be extended to al...
We state that all Rota-Baxter operators of nonzero weight on Grassmann algebra over a field characteristic zero are projections subalgebra along another one. show the one-to-one correspondence between solutions associative Yang-Baxter equation and matrix $M_n(F)$ (joint with P. Kolesnikov). prove unital (alternative, Jordan) algebraic nilpotent. For an $A$, we introduce its new invariant rb-ind...
By utilizing an irreducible inclusion of type IIIq2 factors coming from a free-product type action of the quantum group SUq(2), we show that the free group factor L(F∞) possesses irreducible subfactors of arbitrary index > 4. Combined with earlier results of Radulescu, this shows that L(F∞) has irreducible subfactors with any index value in {4 cos(π/n) : n ≥ 3} ∪ [4,+∞).
Gómez-Mont, Seade and Verjovsky introduced an index, now called GSV-index, generalizing the Poincaré-Hopf index to complex vector fields tangent to singular hypersurfaces. The GSV-index extends to the real case. This is a survey paper on the joint research with Gómez-Mont and Giraldo about calculating the GSV-index IndV±,0(X) of a real vector field X tangent to a singular hypersurface V = f(0)....
