We study numerically the thermal emission of e+e− pairs from a bare strange star heated by energy input onto its surface; heating starts at some moment, and is steady afterwards. The thermal luminosity in e+e− pairs increases to some constant value. The rise time and the steady thermal luminosity are evaluated. Both normal and colour superconducting states of strange quark matter are considered...

The concepts and technical realisation of the high-resolution soft X-ray beamline ADRESS operating in the energy range from 300 to 1600 eV and intended for resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) and angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy (ARPES) are described. The photon source is an undulator of novel fixed-gap design where longitudinal movement of permanent magnetic arrays controls not...

Intrinsic polarization of ferroelectrics (FE) helps separate photon-generated charge carriers thus enhances photovoltaic effects. However, traditional FE with transition-metal cations (M) of d⁰ electron in MO₆ network typically has a band gap (E(g)) exceeding 3.0 eV. Although a smaller E(g) (2.6 eV) can be obtained in multiferroic BiFeO₃, the value is still too high for optimal solar energy app...

We study the pairing of Fermi gases near the d-wave Feshbach resonance. Using Nozieres and Schmitt-Rink potential that produces the two –body energy Scattering amplitude, we have obtained an analytic solution of the gap equation and ground states by minimizing of energy at .

Deep inelastic charged{current reactions have been studied in e + p and e ? p collisions at a center of mass energy of about 300 GeV in the kinematic region Q 2 >200 GeV 2 and x>0:006 using the ZEUS detector at HERA. The integrated cross sections for Q 2 >200 GeV 2 are found to be e + p!X ?3:4 pb. Diierential cross sections have been measured as functions of the variables x, y and Q 2. From the...

Energy gap, the difference between energy of ground state a given Hamiltonian and its first excited state, is parameter critical importance in analysis phase transitions adiabatic quantum computation. We present concrete technique to determine upper bound for gap $H_0$ based on properties set expectation values an additional auxiliary $V$. This formalism can be applied obtain effective criterio...

In this research, the factors affecting on electricity gap were examined in the electricity industry in Iran using the system dynamics approach compared to the econometric method. In the framework of the electricity gap prediction model, simulation of energy demand were investigated as well as its supply and effective factors. Analysis of the problems with these systems was very complicated bec...
