A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) consists of spatially distributed autonomous sensors to monitor physical or environmental conditions, such as temperature, sound, pressure, etc. In sensing applications, data packets are flowing from sensor nodes to base station. In data collection processes, bottom up approach is used. In bottom up approach, all nodes send their sensed data packets to base stati...

Submitted for the MAR13 Meeting of The American Physical Society Large rare fluctuations in systems with delayed dissipation MARK DYKMAN, Michigan State University, IRA SCHWARTZ, U.S. Naval Research Laboratory — We study the probability distribution and the escape rate in noise-driven nonlinear systems with delayed dissipation. Accounting for the delay requires a significant modification of the...

This paper analyzes the problem of persistence of homoclinic solutions to perturbed systems of second order ODE's. These systems arise from PDE's, when considering solutions in the form of travelling waves. It is shown that homoclinic solutions persist in the presence of dissipation. Dissipation can be balanced by nonautonomous terms of compact support, which are controlled by a single paramete...

We propose a quantum energy teleportation protocol for spin chain systems which transports energy to distant sites only by local operations and classical communication. The protocol utilizes ground state entanglement among spins. A notable property of the protocol is that the dissipation rate of energy in transport is strongly suppressed because energy is not transmitted, but instead classical ...

Heat transfer by electromagnetic radiation is one of the common methods of energy transfer between objects. Using the fluctuation-dissipation theorem, we have studied the effect of particle arrangement in the transmission of radiative heat in many-body systems. In order to show the effect of the structure morphology on the collective properties, the radiative heat transfer is studied and the re...

We prove a uniform Poincaré-like estimate of the relative free energy by the dissipation rate for implicit Euler, finite volume discretized reaction-diffusion systems. This result is proven indirectly and ensures the exponential decay of the relative free energy with a unified decay rate for admissible finite volume meshes.

The energy stored at the output can be retrieved by the reversing the current source direction discharging process instead of dissipation in NMOS network. Hence adiabatic switching offers the less energy dissipation in PMOS network and reuse the stored energy in the output capacitance by reversing the current source direction. There are the many adiabatic logic design technique are given in Lit...

Granular systems present surprisingly complicated dynamics. In particular, nonlinear interactions and energy dissipation play important roles in these dynamics. Usually (but admittedly not always), constant coefficients of restitution are introduced phenomenologically to account for energy dissipation when grains collide. The collisions are assumed to be instantaneous and to conserve momentum. ...

We discuss the general energetic variational approaches for hydrodynamic systems of complex fluids. In these energetic variational approaches, the least action principle (LAP) with action functional gives the Hamiltonian parts (conservative force) of the hydrodynamic systems, and the maximum/minimum dissipation principle (MDP), i.e., Onsager's principle, gives the dissipative parts (dissipative...
