Abstract— A simple and compact ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna integrated with dual band-notched and desirable gain characteristics is presented in this article. The proposed antenna consists of a rectangular-shaped radiator with a partial ground plane and fed by a 50 Ω microstrip line. By inserting two altered H-shaped slots on the proposed radiator, dual band-notch are created to eliminate the w...

The paper briefly reviews the historical background of dielectric resonator antenna and its bandwidth enhancement techniques. The main focus is on a compact DRA that can offer broad band operation. It has been illustrated that dual resonance and multi resonance operation can be much effective to give wide band characteristics of DRA. Index Terms dielectric resonator antenna, broadband, multi re...

This paper presents a wideband/multiband internal antenna operated in the LTE13/ GSM850/GSM900/WiMAX bands. The wide bandwidth is obtained by dual resonances in the lower frequency band. With the size of 2.4 cm 3 , the efficiency of the proposed antenna is higher than 40 % in the entire operating band.

This paper covers two aspects of Microstrip antenna designs. The first is the analysis and design of single element rectangular Microstrip antenna which operates at the centre frequency of 2. 4 GHz. The second aspect is the design of dual band rectangular microstrip antenna which operates at 2. 4 GHz and 3. 6 GHz used in 802. 11b/g/n and 802. 11y WLAN channels respectively. Both antennas are mo...

The microstrip patch is one of the most preferred antenna structures for low cost and compact design for wireless system and RF application. Dual-Band antennas are of a relative interest since they can support multiple communication systems. In this paper we present design of a novel compact small size microstrip antenna suitable for dual-band operations. By loading properly arranged slots on a...

The U-slot micro-strip patch antennas were originally developed for bandwidth broadening applications. This study presents a transmission line feed to modify the U-slot stacked rectangular micro-strip patch antenna for Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) communications. The modified antenna has a U-cut loaded with parallel slits and corner slots and is printed on a dielectric substrate of FR4 with relative p...

A low cost, dual band antenna has been proposed and studied in this paper. The antenna consists of two elementsa T-shaped element and an F-shaped element. A microstrip feed line with a characteristic impedance of 50? has been used to feed the T-element which is responsible for the generation of the higher band of operation. The F-element is placed on the other side of the dielectric and is coup...

Micro strip patch antennas are widely used in compact, conformal and lowcost wireless applications due to its advantages over conventional antenna. Literature study of last few decades of micro strip patch antenna (MPA) shows that the different techniques are used to design a small size micro strip patch antenna. In this paper survey is conducted on different antenna designing methods like E sh...
