this paper gives a new application of dea to evaluate the scheduling solutions of parallel processing. it evaluates the scheduling solutions of parallel processing using the non-convex dea model, fdh model. by introducing each solution of parallel processing scheduling as a dmu with some relevant inputs and outputs this paper shows that how the most efficient schedule(s) can be identified.

In this paper, a mixed-integer linear programming model is proposed to integrate batch picking and distribution scheduling problems in order to optimize them simultaneously in an order picking warehouse. A tow-phase heuristic algorithm is presented to solve it in reasonable time. The first phase uses a genetic algorithm to evaluate and select permutations of the given set of customers. The seco...

The performance of parallel programs such as those involving fork-join instructions is significantly affected by the method used to schedule program tasks. This paper studies parallel job scheduling in homogeneous distributed systems. A simulation model is used to address performance issues associated with scheduling. Various policies are employed to schedule parallel jobs over a variety of wor...

preventive maintenance scheduling of generating units is addressed as a long-term scheduling in power system studies aiming to increase the reliability incorporating cost reduction. it consists of knowing which generating units should be shut down for regular safety inspection. in this paper, a new formulation of preventive maintenance scheduling associated with cost reduction index (cri) is pr...

AbstractRealtime multi-process scheduling is commonly used in many control situations, where it is important to achieve job completions within specific time intervals. This paper investigates the potential improvement that might be achieved when additional information (notably the residual computing time of each process) is used in the scheduling process. First, a simulation study was completed...

This paper describes a simple scheduling procedure for use in multicast data distribution within a logistical networking infrastructure. The goal of our scheduler is to generate a distribution schedule that will exploit the best network paths by using historic network performance information. A ”spanning tree” is constructed between available logistical depots to help reduce the overall time of...

The outbreak of multiple disaster sites during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has presented challenges due to varying access time intensity, population density, and medical resources at each site. To address these issues, this study focuses on 13 districts counties in Wuhan, China. importance research area is analyzed using improved PageRank TOPSIS algorithms determine optimal...
