This paper is concerned with efficiently assigning bandwidth to radio transmitters, so as to avoid interference. We assume that the area (city, state, etc) is divided into a honeycomb hexagonal grid, and that transmitters are placed at the centers of the hexagons, which have side length s. The bandwidth assigned to a transmitter will be represented by a channel number. To avoid interference, th...

Compute and Forward (CF) is a coding scheme which enables receivers to decode linear combinations of simultaneously transmitted messages while exploiting the properties lattice codes additive nature shared medium. The was originally designed for relay networks, yet, it found useful in other communication problems, such as MIMO communication. Works current literature assume fixed number transmit...

Abstract— In this paper the negative impacts of interference transmitters on automatic modulation classification (AMC) have been discussed. We proposed two approaches for AMC in the presence of interference: single user modulation classification (SUMC) and multiuser modulation classification (MUMC). When the received power of one transmitter is larger than the other transmitters, SUMC approach ...

A quality control test is performed on nearly 2000 custom optical transmitters for use in the Liquid Argon Calorimeter of the ATLAS detector. More than 90% of these optical transmitters passed the test and have been installed in the calorimeter readout system. The acceptance criteria, measurement procedure, and results of the quality control test are presented in this note.

An approximate capacity region is established of a class of interfering multiple access channels consisting of two multiple-access channels (MACs), each with an arbitrary number of users, with interference from one of the transmitters of one MAC to the receiver of the other MAC, which we refer to henceforth as the MAC-IC-MAC. It is shown that, for the semi-deterministic MAC-IC-MAC, single-user ...

For distributed sensor/relay networks, high reliability and power efficiency are often required. However, several implementation issues arise in practice. One such problem is that all the distributed transmitters have limited power supply since the power source of the transmitters cannot be recharged continually. To resolve this, distributed beamforming has been proposed as a viable solution wh...

The metabolic pathways for five transmitters in the basal ganglia are briefly described; the results of determinations of their concentrations, of their rate-limiting enzymes and of their degradation products are summarized. The changes found in Parkinson's disease are described. While dopamine synthesis in the basal ganglia is defective in this condition, abnormalities of other transmitters oc...

In this paper, we study the decentralized parallel multiple access channel (MAC) when transmitters selfishly maximize their individual spectral efficiency by selecting a single channel to transmit. More specifically, we investigate the set of Nash equilibria (NE) of decentralized networks comprising several transmitters communicating with a single receiver that implements single user decoding. ...
