In this paper, the differential quadrature method is applied to simulate natural convection in an inclined cubic cavity using velocity-vorticity formulation. The numerical capability of the present algorithm is demonstrated by application to natural convection in an inclined cubic cavity. The velocity Poisson equations, the vorticity transport equations and the energy equation are all solved as...

In this paper, we obtain the general solution of a generalized cubic functional equation, the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability, and the stability by using the alternative fixed point for a generalized cubic functional equation

We study the functional class and locality problems in the context of higher-spin theories and Vasiliev’s equations. A locality criterion that is sufficient to make higher-spin theories well-defined as field theories on Anti-de-Sitter space is proposed. This criterion identifies admissible pseudo-local field redefinitions which preserve AdS/CFT correlation functions as we check in the 3d exampl...

Physical processes with memory and hereditary properties can be best described by fractional differential equations based on the memory effect of fractional derivatives. For that reason reliable and efficient techniques for the solution of fractional differential equations are needed. Our aim is to generalize the wavelet collocation method to fractional partial differential equations using cubi...

We show that the geometric Hermite interpolant can be easily calculated without solving a system of nonlinear equations. In addition we give geometric conditions for the existence and uniqueness of a solution to the interpolation problem. Finally we compare geometric Hermite interpolation with standard cubic Hermite interpolation. x1 Introduction Since parametric representations of curves are n...

The reversible Hopf bifurcation with 1:1 resonance holds the key to the presence of spatially localized steady states in many partial differential equations on the real line. Two different techniques for computing the normal form for this bifurcation are described and applied to the Swift-Hohenberg equation with cubic/quintic and quadratic/cubic nonlinearities.
