in this paper, we introduce a function in order to measure the distancebetween two order intervals of fuzzy numbers, and show that this function isa metric. we investigate some properties of this metric, and finally presentan application. we think that this study could provide a more generalframework for researchers studying on interval analysis, fuzzy analysis andfuzzy decision making.

Using the idea of approach space due to Robert Lowen [Approach spaces. The missing link in the topology-uniformitymetric triad], we define the notion of fuzzy approach spaces as a natural generalization of fuzzy metric spaces due to Kramosil and Michalek [Kybernetika , 11, 1975, 336–344] and prove some properties of fuzzy approach spaces. in this paper, the notion of cyclic $varphi$-contraction in fuzzymetric spaces is introduced and a fixed point theorem for this typeof mapping is established. meantime, an example is provided toillustrate this theorem. the main result shows that a self-mappingon a g-complete fuzzy metric space has a unique fixed point if itsatisfies the cyclic $varphi$-contraction. afterwards, some results inco...

As a natural generalization of a measure space, Butnariu and Klement introduced T-tribes of fuzzy sets with T-measures. They gave a complete characterization of T-measures for a Frank triangular norm T. Here we characterize T-measures with respect to non-Frank strict triangular norms. We show the speciic roles of Frank triangular norms and a newly introduced family, nearly Frank triangular norm...

Fuzzy set theory is a useful tool to describe situations in which the data are imprecise or vague. Fuzzy sets handle such situation by attributing a degree to which a certain object belongs to a set. The idea of fuzzy norm was initiated by Katsaras in [1984]. Felbin [1992] defined a fuzzy norm on a linear space whose associated fuzzy metric is of Kaleva and Seikkala type [1984]. Cheng and Morde...

In this paper, an idea of generalized fuzzy c-distance in fuzzy cone metric space is introduced. A common fixed point theorem is established for a pair of self mappings in fuzzy cone metric spaces by using the concept of generalized fuzzy c-distance. 2010 AMS Classification: : 54A40, 03E72

Abstract. In this paper we establish some properties of fuzzy quasi-pseudo-metric spaces. An important result is that any partial ordering can be defined by a fuzzy quasi-metric, which can be applied both in theoretical computer science and in information theory, where it is usual to work with sequences of objects of increasing information. We also obtain decomposition theorems of a fuzzy quasi...
