Fingerprinting is a common technique for indoor positioning using short range Radio Frequency (RF) technologies such as Wireless Location Area Network (WLAN) and Bluetooth (BT). It works in two phases: The first phase is a data training phase in which a radio map for the targeted area is generated in advance, while the second phase is the real-time location determination phase using the radio m...

Many models involving combination of multiple Weibull distributions, modification of Weibull distribution or extension of its modified ones, etc. have been developed to model a given set of failure data. The application of these models to modeling a given data set can be based on plotting the data on Weibull probability paper (WPP). Of them, two or more models are appropriate to model one typic...

The theoretical study of the effect of Corticosterone release scores was determined. Formulae of fuzzy two parameter Weibull distribution, fuzzy Survival and fuzzy hazard rate function and its α-cut sets were presented. Using fuzzy survival and hazard rate model based on two parameter Weibull distributions, we showed that in the test termination, if the fuzzy Survival value increases then the f...

The first part is the statistical structure of wind speed, i.e. the methods for determination of Weibull-distribution’s parameters, fitting of frequency distribution of daily and monthly mean wind speeds with the Weibull-distribution, estimation of frequency distributions of daily and monthly mean wind speeds with the Weibull-distribution at different heights. The second part includes the stati...

Abstract: A generalized version of four parameter modified inverse weibull distribution (MIWD) is introduced in this paper. This distribution generalizes the following distributions: (1) Modified Inverse exponential distribution, (2) Modified Inverse Rayleigh distribution, (3) Inverse weibull distribution. We provide a comprehensive description of the mathematical properties of the modified inv...

Fiber lengths were analyzed for random samples of medium-density fiberboard (MDF) fibers and wood particles taken from eleven different populations. For six of the samples, the lognormal distribution fit the data, while the Weibull distribution did not. For three of the samples, the Weibull fit the data, while the lognormal did not. For two of the samples, both the lognormal and Weibull fit the...

The dependence of the Weibull stress is investigated on the parameters of the elasticplastic crack tip field. The general form of the Weibull stress is given for a three-parameter approximation of the elasto-plastic crack tip field. This is the basis to define a constraint correction of the critical value of the J-integral for cleavage fracture.

purpose: to evaluate the effect of age, sex, type of surgery, extent of retinal detachment (rd), vitreous incarceration in wound, and myopic degeneration on the rate of retinal redetachment following rd surgery using eternal weibull regression analysis. methods: we performed a survival analysis on a multi-center randomized controlled trial conducted on patients with pseudophakic or aphakic rd t...

The application of continuous time Weibull models on discrete unemployment duration data may produce bias in the estimated shape of the hazard rate. The bias can be substantial even for weekly duration data, and it is seriously aggravated if the Weibull model is erroneously mixed with a Gamma distribution for unobserved heterogeneity.

Constant upgrading of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is necessary, but can cause new defects. This paper attempts to model the likelihood of defects after completed upgrades with Weibull defect probability density function (PDF). A case study is presented analyzing data of recorded defects obtained for one ERP subsystem. The trends are observed for the value of the parameters releva...
