OBJECTIVES The aim of the study was to assess the acoustic and capacity analyses of voice in academic teachers with hyperfunctional dysphonia using DiagnoScope Specialist software. MATERIAL AND METHODS The study covered 46 female academic teachers aged 34-48 years. The women were diagnosed with hyperfunctional dysphonia (with absence of organic pathologies). Having obtained the informed conse...

In this paper, an analytical method is presented for the study of shear horizontal surface acoustic waves in semi-infinite piezoelectrics/metal superlattices. The results show that the high electromechanical coupling coefficient and wide usable frequency range can be obtained in these superlattices.

Firstand second-order reflection coefficients are presented for the small slope approximation. The first-order reflection coefficient is identical to the Kirchhoff, or physical optics, result, and the secondorder reflection coefficient reduces to those of perturbation theory and the Kirchhoff approximation in the appropriate limits. Numerical results are obtained for acoustic or TE-polarized el...

A 22-year-old woman was diagnosed with CSF antibody-confirmed NMDA receptor encephalitis after repeated generalized seizures. Initial MRI and EEG were unremarkable (figure). She developed acoustic hallucinations and nonconvulsive status epilepticus (NCSE). MRI at this time showed hyperperfusion on arterial spin labeling maps and reduced apparent diffusion coefficient accompanied by reduced visi...

SUMMARY The authors investigated whether acoustic speaking voice analyses can be used to predict the beginning of mutation in 21 male members of a professional boys' choir. Over a period of 3 years before mutation, children were examined every 3 months by ear, nose, and throat (ENT) and phoniatric specialists. At the same time, the voice was evaluated acoustically using analysis features of the...
