In Analytic SSA, an approximate upper bound to the logdet term in Eq. 4 is computed (Hara et al., 2012). Without re-deriving this bound entirely, we present its final steps, which we use to obtain the bounds for KSSA and NLSSA.

OBJECTIVES To (1) identify all available rehabilitation impact indices (RIIs) based on their mathematical formula, (2) assess the evidence for independent predictors of each RII and (3) propose a nomenclature system to harmonise the names of RIIs. DESIGN Systematic review. DATA SOURCES PubMed and references in primary articles. STUDY SELECTION First, we identified all available RII throug...

BACKGROUND Benefit-targeted statin prescribing may be superior to risk-targeted statin prescribing (the current standard), but the impact and efficiency of this approach are unclear. METHODS AND RESULTS We analyzed the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) using an open-source model (the Prevention Impact and Efficiency Model) to compare targeting of statin therapy accordi...

Performance studies of the CMS barrel muon system carried out at INFN Bologna are described in detail. The expected muon momentum resolution and trigger efficiency are calculated for different configurations of the measuring superlayers. The emphasis here is not on the absolute response, but rather on the comparison of the various configurations. ) On leave from INRNE, Sofia, Bulgaria

This article studies the variational framework for a boundary value problem involving in left and right fractional derivatives. It presents the sufficient conditions and the absolute error between the approximate solutions and exact solutions. The method is easily computable and quite efficient. Several examples are given to verify the reliability and efficiency of it.

The problem of absolute stability of Lur'e systems with sector and slope restricted nonlinearities is revisited. Novel time-domain and frequency-domain criteria are established by using the Lyapunov method and the well-known Kalman-Yakubovich-Popov (KYP) lemma. The criteria strengthen some existing results. Simulations are given to illustrate the efficiency of the results.

In this paper, we suggest and analyze an improved generalized Newton method for solving the NP-hard absolute value equations [Formula: see text] when the singular values of A exceed 1. We show that the global and local quadratic convergence of the proposed method. Numerical experiments show the efficiency of the method and the high accuracy of calculation.

artificial neural networks (anns) are computer techniques that attempt to simulate the functionality and decision-making processes of the human brain. in the past few decades, artificial neural networks (anns) have been extensively used in a wide range of engineering applications. there are only a few applications in liquid membrane process. the objective of this research was to develop artific...
