Microspheres loaded with alpha-emitting radionuclides are an alternative to using 90Y to facilitate tumor vascular disruption. Targeting a tumor’s vasculature can be accomplished while minimizing the absorbed dose to healthy tissue by utilizing alpha-emitting radionuclides having limited betagamma emissions.

Purpose To generate a predictive whole-liver radiomics scoring system for progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) in patients undergoing transarterial radioembolization using Yttrium-90 (90Y-TARE) for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (uHCC). Results The generated pPET-RadScores were significantly correlated with survival for PFS (median of 11.4 mo [95% confidence interv...

UNLABELLED We demonstrated previously that human B-cell lymphomas were effectively and specifically killed in vitro by an antibody to CD74 (LL1) linked to (111)In or other Auger electron emitters. This study was intended to more accurately compare the potency and specificity of 3Auger electron emitters, (111)In, 67Ga, and 125I, and to evaluate beta-particle emitters, 131I and 90Y. The unique pr...

INTRODUCTION Samarium-153 (153Sm) styrene divinylbenzene microparticles were developed as a surrogate for Yttrium-90 (90Y) microspheres in liver radioembolization therapy. Unlike the pure beta emitter 90Y, 153Sm possess both therapeutic beta and diagnostic gamma radiations, making it possible for post-procedure imaging following therapy. METHODS The microparticles were prepared using commerci...

Introduction: Radiation lobectomy (RL) is defined as the transarterial administration of high-dose radioactive microspheres to liver malignancies with intent inducing ipsilateral tumor ablation and contralateral hypertrophy. The biological characteristics therapy surviving cells their microenvironment remain unstudied. Methods: Fourteen patients received RL, which colorectal metastasis group (n...

UNLABELLED Extravasation of therapeutic (90)Y-ibritumomab tiuxetan can cause significant injury. Detection of extravasated (90)Y using a γ-camera for patients undergoing (90)Y-ibritumomab tiuxetan therapy is a challenge because of the inherently low efficiency of bremsstrahlung imaging and the interference of prompt and scattered photons from (111)In that are still present in the body at the ti...

Chimeric T84.66 (cT84.66) is a genetically engineered human/murine chimeric IgG, with high affinity and specificity to carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA). The purpose of this Phase I dose escalation therapy trial was to evaluate the toxicities, biodistribution, pharmacokinetics, tumor targeting, immunogenicity, and organ and tumor absorbed dose estimates of cT84.66 labeled with 90Y. Patients with m...
