BACKGROUND Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) is a significant clinical problem. Recently, thrombophilias have been implicated as a possible cause. Factor V Leiden (FVL) and prothrombin gene (G20210A) mutations are the most common types of hereditary thrombophilias, but are usually undiagnosed because most carriers are asymptomatic. The relationship between FVL, G20210A, and RPL has been investigat...

RPL (pronounced “ripple”) is the most expressive path language for navigating in RDF graphs proposed to date that can still be evaluated with polynomial combined complexity. RPL is a lean language well-suited for integration into RDF rule languages. This integration enables a limited form of recursion for traversing RDF paths of unknown length at almost no additional cost over conjunctive tripl...

In this paper, we propose GeoRank, a geographic routing approach for the IPv6-enabled large-scale low-power and lossy networks. We discuss the main drawbacks of the RPL (IPv6 Routing Protocol for Low-Power and Lossy Networks) for P2P (point-to-point) communication in large-scale 6LoWPAN networks. Then, we address such drawbacks by proposing a routing protocol, named GeoRank, which integrates RP...

BACKGROUND Recurrent pregnancy loss is (RPL) a heterogeneous condition. While the role of acquired thrombophilia has been accepted as an etiology for RPL, the contribution of specific inherited thrombophilic gene polymorphisms to the disorder has been remained controversial. METHODS One hundred women with a history of two or more consecutive abortions and 100 women with at least two live birt...

Immigrant and resident leukocytes are the main immune components of endometrial and decidual tissue. Altered immune responses have been suspected to be involved in idiopathic recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) pathogenesis. We aimed to investigate the plasma cytokine levels and endometrial leukocyte subpopulations of RPL cases. This study was conducted with 60 idiopathic RPL (28 primary and 32 seco...

RPL is the IETF candidate standard for IPv6 routing in low-power wireless sensor networks. We present the first experimental results of RPL which we have obtained with our ContikiRPL implementation. Our results show that Tmote Sky motes running IPv6 with RPL routing have a battery lifetime of years, while delivering 0.6 packets per second to a sink node.

BACKGROUND Women with recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) and T-helper (Th)1-type immunity to trophoblast antigens have an increased frequency of the IL1B-511*1 promoter variant. Since CD46 gene products also regulate maternal immune responses including Th1 immunity, we investigated whether CD46 gene polymorphisms are also associated with RPL in women with and without Th1 immunity to trophoblast, an...

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) provides formal recognition for vocational knowledge or skills gained on-the-job or as a result of other informal or unstructured learning experiences. RPL, if granted, can count towards completion of recognised vocational qualifications. RPL provides a range of potential benefits for both learners and providers of technical and vocational educational and tra...

Recent trends in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have suggested converging to such being IPv6-based. to this effect, the Internet Engineering Task Force has chartered a Working Group to develop a routing protocol specification, enabling IPv6-based multi-hop Wireless Sensor Networks. This routing protocol, denoted RPL, has been under development for approximately a year, and this memorandum take...
