Identifying older adults with chronic musculoskeletal pain (CMP) earlier is urgent because CMP is reportedly associated with deterioration in physical function, poor psychological status, and low physical activity level. The objective of this study was to identify factors that were most strongly associated with CMP in Japanese community-dwelling older adults.Using a cross-sectional design, we a...

AIMS Although the human heart was classically considered a terminal organ, recent studies have reported a myocyte proliferation response versus some aggressions. Excessive ethanol consumption induces development of cardiomyopathy (CMP) through myocyte apoptosis. We evaluated myocyte proliferation response in the heart of chronic alcoholic donors with telomerase activity (telomerase reverse tran...

The cluster multipole (CMP) expansion for magnetic structures provides a scheme to systematically generate candidate specifically including noncollinear configurations adapted the crystal symmetry of given material. A comparison with experimental data collected on MAGNDATA shows that most stable in nature are linear combinations only few CMPs. Furthermore, high-throughput calculation all is per...

A Fenton reaction and a corrosion inhibition strategy were designed for enhancing the polishing rate achieving corrosion-free Ge1Sb4Te5 film surface during chemical-mechanical planarization (CMP) of three-dimensional (3D) cross-point phase-change random-access memory (PCRAM) cells 3D synaptic arrays. The was conducted with 1,3-propylenediamine tetraacetic acid, ferric ammonium salt (PDTA–Fe) H2...

Cordyceps militaris (CM) and its active ingredient cordycepin have been reported to inhibit tumor growth, but the mechanisms are not fully understood. This study used a mouse model for oral cancer and a cell line, 4NAOC-1 derived from the model to study the mechanisms. Our results show that a CM preparation (CMP) can significantly inhibit tumor development and malignant transformation in the mo...

In this paper, we propose a coverage measurement protocol (CMP) which can provide the base station an accurate and in-time measurement of the current connected coverage in an energy-efficient way, and our CMP is location-error tolerant. Moreover, the major component of our CMP, i.e., BOundary Node Detection (BOND) scheme, can be reused to provide many other functionalities for WSNs.

To be effective and at the same time sustainable, a community data curation model needs to be aligned with the community’s current data practices, including research project activities, data types, and perceptions of data quality. Based on a survey of members of the Condensed Matter Physics (CMP) community gathered around the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, a large national laboratory,...

CMP (Chip Multiprocessor) is a promising processor architecture, not only for high performance but also for reducing power and energy consumption in embedded applications. We have implemented an OpenMP compiler for an embedded Renesas M32R chip multiprocessor as a parallel programming environment. In this paper, we report the preliminary performance of OpenMP benchmarks, including scientific an...

BACKGROUND The Cox-Maze procedure (CMP) has achieved high success rates in the therapy of atrial fibrillation (AF) while becoming progressively less invasive. This report evaluates our experience with the CMP in the treatment of lone AF over 2 decades and compares the original cut-and-sew CMP-III to the ablation-assisted CMP-IV, which uses bipolar radiofrequency and cryoenergy to create the ori...
