This paper describes the PSAT-GAMS interface to solve a variety of optimization models. The Power System Analysis Toolbox (PSAT) is an open source Matlab-based software package for analysis and design of small to medium size electric power systems. While the General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) is a high-level modeling system for mathematical programing problems. It consists of a language c...

This paper introduces Adaptive System Simulation and Noise Analysis Toolbox (ASSNAT) version 1.1 (v1.1), which is an opensource MATLAB based software package for simulation and analysis of Adaptive signal processing systems and noises, with its new feature Learning curve method, where we can make an advanced level comparative study based analysis. ASSNAT v1.1 contains a variety of adaptive syst...

The dynamics analysis for linear systems described by state-space representations in max-plus algebra is addressed within the context of the software facilities offered by the Petri Net Toolbox (PN Toolbox) running under MATLAB. By developing this toolbox, the application field of the MATLAB environment (extremely popular among control engineers) is considerably enlarged towards covering event ...

Present study consists the design of an optimal state feedback controller for our USM Underwater Glider (USMGlider). The glider mathematical model for motion control is obtained using MATLAB System Identification Toolbox, where ballast pumping rate is an input signal to the system. Different parameters were observed independently, the pitching angle, and the depth. Two different models were obt...

This paper describes a MATLAB Toolbox for the integrated design of Model Predictive Control (MPC) state-feedback control laws and the digital circuits implementing them. Explicit MPC laws can be designed using optimal and sub-optimal formulations, directly taking into account the specifications of the digital circuit implementing the control law (such as latency and size), together with the usu...

This paper explains about a neural network based control scheme to determine trajectory control parameters i.e. velocity, acceleration and jerk for a industrial robot performing a defined task. The proposed approach is the blend of quintic B-spline and neural network system for prediction of joint control parameters. The proposed approach is applied to a case of three robot trajectory control p...

System identification often means the determination of linear models from input-output data. The behaviour of many systems can be described by an s-domain or z-domain transfer function model, at least for a given excitation amplitude range. The quality of the fit can be assessed by the analysis of the residuals, that is, of the difference between the measured data and the model. However, even s...

The aim of this work is to evaluate the output a two-degree freedom (DOF) proportional integral derivative (PID) controller for controlling elbow flexion and extension on an upper limb rehabilitation robot existing model. Since usage increasing dramatically because human impairment, 2DOF has been proposed in as suitable controller. PID offers set-point-weight features and, hence, fast removing ...

In this project1, we study the hidden Markov random field (HMRF) model and its expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm. We implement a MATLAB toolbox named HMRF-EM-image for 2D image segmentation using the HMRF-EM framework2. This toolbox also implements edge-prior-preserving image segmentation, and can be easily reconfigured for other problems, such as 3D image segmentation.

In this paper, a constrained discete model predictive control (CDMPC) strategy for greenhouse inside temperature is presented. To describe the dynamics of our system’s temperature, an experimental prototype engaged. For mathematical modeling, state space form which fits properly acquired data identified using subspace system identification (N4sid) algorithm. The obtained used in order to develo...
