the present study sought to investigate the impact of using mind-mapping technique instruction on female elementary efl learners reading comprehension; it also investigated their attitudes towards using mind-mapping technique as a tool to improve their reading comprehension. this study followed a quasi-experimental design with two intact groups as experimental, and control groups. the participa...

‎The first variable Zagreb index of graph $G$ is defined as‎ ‎begin{eqnarray*}‎ ‎M_{1,lambda}(G)=sum_{vin V(G)}d(v)^{2lambda}‎, ‎end{eqnarray*}‎ ‎where $lambda$ is a real number and $d(v)$ is the degree of‎ ‎vertex $v$‎. ‎In this paper‎, ‎some upper and lower bounds for the distribution function and expected value of this index in random increasing trees (rec...

We propose a new computational paradigm for the evaluation of recursive Datalog queries, which is based on a pushdown automaton (PDA) model. By extending to these automata a dynamic programming technique developed for PDAs in context-free parsing, we obtain a general and simple technique for constructing efficient polynomial query evaluators.

This paper presents a static pointer analysis technique for a subset of C. The tool supports user-defined assertions inserted in the body of the program. Assertions are of two kinds: static assertions automatically verified by the analyser, and hypothetical assertions treated as assumptions by the analyser. The technique deals with recursive data structures and it is accurate enough to handle c...

In the area of inductive learning, generalization is the main operation, and the usual definition of induction is based on logical implication. Plotkin's well-known technique for computing least general generalizations of clauses under θ-subsumption sometimes produces results which are too general with respect to implication. Muggleton has shown that this problem only occurs in one type of gene...

Recursive learning is a general technique for analyzing Boolean problems. In this paper, we evaluate various heuristics for improving the runtime efficiency of this technique when applied to the problem of combinational equivalence checking. All heuristics are evaluated on a set of 29 examples containing the ISCAS benchmarks as well as industrial designs.

A real-time digital holographic display is the core technology for the next-generation 3DTV. Holographic display requires a considerably large amount of calculation. If generating a large number of digital holograms is intended, the amount of calculation and the time required increase exponentially. This is a significant obstacle in a real-time hologram service. This paper proposes an algorithm...

Nowadays, the accumulation of paper in the life of business professional is overwhelming. Digital documents on the other hand being less expensive and more efficient are on the road to a more organized office. Also crucial for many business applications document image analysis is needed before OCR operation. Segmentation of document images into text and non-text regions is essential because OCR...
