in this paper, we study wsn design, as a multi-objective optimization problem using ga technique. we study the effects of ga parameters including population size, selection and crossover method and mutation probability on the design. choosing suitable parameters is a trade-off between different network criteria and characteristics. type of deployment, effect of network size, radio communication...

We report on a novel strategy to improve microfluidic immunoassay sensitivity by introducing chemiluminescence resonance energy transfer (CRET) into the immunoreactions. The proposed CRET-based immunoassay for estradiol (E2, as a model analyte) is one of the most sensitive immunoassay with a limit of detection at 3.6 × 10(-11) M E2 in a microfluidic format.

An enzyme immunoassay that uses easily regenerated reagents was developed and evaluated for the ability to detect group B rotaviruses (GBR) in fecal specimens. Homologous rat GBR and heterologous porcine and bovine GBR were detected by this immunoassay, although a human GBR isolate was not. This immunoassay should prove useful in studies of GBR infections of animals.

CONTEXT Immunoassay-based techniques, routinely used to measure serum estradiol (E2), are known to have reduced specificity, especially at lower concentrations, when compared with the gold standard technique of mass spectrometry (MS). Different measurement techniques may be responsible for the conflicting results of associations between serum E2 and clinical phenotypes in men. OBJECTIVE Our o...

Background: Myrtus communis has been identified as a holy plant for ages and a great verity of medicinal properties have been described for it in literature. Today, there is a number of Myrtus drugs in Iran market including: Myrtoplex cream, Myrtex Solution, Aftoplex, Dineh Inhaler Powder, Rectol cream and so on. These properties may due to the presence of different chemical compounds such as T...

Immunoassays represent one of the most popular analytical methods for detection and quantification of biomolecules. However, conventional immunoassays such as ELISA and flow cytometry, even though providing high sensitivity and specificity and multiplexing capability, can be labor-intensive and prone to human error, making them unsuitable for standardized clinical diagnoses. Using a commerciali...

We evaluated the performance of three commercial measles immunoglobulin M enzyme immunoassays from Meddens, Denka Seiken, and Behring. The sensitivities were determined to be 96.7% for the Meddens and Denka Seiken assays and 87.9% for the Behring assay. The specificities of the assays were determined to be 94.6% for Meddens, 98.2% for Denka Seiken, and 98.7% for Behring.

Background: Radio-adaptive response and bystander effects are known phenomena occurring in cells following exposure to ionizing radiation (IR). In this study we examined possible radio-adaptation of lymphocytes following bystander effects induced by CHO-K1 cells. Materials and Methods: Whole blood and CHO-K1 cells were cultured in RPMI-1640 complete medium. Cells were separately irradiated with...

A streptavidin functionalized capillary immune microreactor was designed for highly efficient flow-through chemiluminescent (CL) immunoassay. The functionalized capillary could be used as both a support for highly efficient immobilization of antibody and a flow cell for flow-through immunoassay. The functionalized inner wall and the capture process were characterized using scanning electron mic...
