To control the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and the exhaust brake, the position of a butterfly valve connected to a piston inside a pneumatic cylinder is controlled by altering the pressure inside the cylinder. This thesis evaluates the possibility to do this with pulse width modulation (PWM) controlled On/Off valves. The whole electro-pneumatic actuator system is built out of two On/Off val...

A portable powered ankle-foot orthosis (PPAFO) was previously developed using off-the-shelf pneumatic components to explore new opportunities for fluid power in human assist devices. The untethered pneumatically powered ankle-foot orthosis provides both motion control and torque assistance at the ankle via a binary, event-based control scheme that uses solenoid valves. While stable, the binary ...

The article discusses substantiating the parameters brake system of a tractor-trailer (TT). section offers comparative analysis theoretical and experimental studies TT drive its elements. Based on that, ordinary differential equations were solved by Runge - Kutta method, first-order accuracy (Euler's method). To solve partial equations, we used modified Lax Wendroff scheme. results obtained usi...

The program and the arrangement for a versatile, computer-controlled flow injection analysis system is described. A resident program (which can be run simultaneously and complementary to any other program) controls (on/off, speed, direction) a pump and a pneumatic valve (emptying and filling position). The system was designed to be simple and flexible for both research and routine work.
